Stay at Hotel Windrow in downtown Ellensburg, WA Looking for an affordable, clean, and cozy stay in downtown Ellensburg? Let me introduce you to Hotel Windrow — your perfect base for exploring the city and relaxing. Why it stands out The check-in was smooth and easy. The team welcomed us right away and we were settled into our room quickly. Even though the hotel sits right in the heart of downtown, it comes with its own free guest parking lot at the back. No stress about finding a space. Our room was clean, well-stocked, and honestly felt cozy. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Being right downtown means you’re in walking distance to cafés, shops, restaurants, and the vibe of the city — you can just park once and stroll everywhere. A little history to make it more interesting Hotel Windrow’s name honours the region’s hay-farming heritage — “windrow” refers to the rows of hay laid out to dry in the fields. The building ties into Ellensburg’s historic downtown: the hotel opened in January 2020, and is the first new hotel in downtown Ellensburg since 1981. Also, the hotel features and celebrates local art — the lobby, the exterior walls, guest rooms all include works by regional artists from the Kittitas Valley. So you’re not just staying somewhere: you’re staying in a spot where local heritage, art and community meet. What to do around town Since you’re right downtown, there’s a bunch of fun things to explore while you’re in Ellensburg: Visit the Kittitas County Historical Museum in downtown for a dive into the local history and heritage. Stroll Main Street and browse the boutiques, cafés and art galleries – downtown Ellensburg has a lively arts & culture scene. Head outside for nature: the Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park offers easy trails and river views nearby. For beer lovers: stop by Iron Horse Brewery (in town) for a local brew and friendly vibes. If your travel timing allows, check out the famous Ellensburg Rodeo (held annually) for a true local western-culture experience. Final word If you’re looking for a stay that’s affordable, comfortable, and ideally located for walking around town — Hotel Windrow is a fantastic choice. It blends modern comfort with historic charm, free parking (which downtown hotels don’t always include), and gives you a gateway to everything Ellensburg has to offer. #HotelWindrow #EllensburgWA #DowntownStay #BoutiqueHotel #ExploreWashington

Well, this is the best hidden secret in Ellensburg WA, as far as accommodations go! We stumbled into Hotel Windrow because we were looking for a nice room within walking distance to dinning, shopping and the Clymer museum. ****Granted, there was no bar or dining on site, thanks to COVID, but there was a wonderful breakfast bar that made the stay perfect. ***(Update January 2024, full bar open 6-8 p.m. and limited nice breakfast menu with Lattes, Cappuccinos, etc from 6-9 a.m.) The rooms were as clean as they could possibly be. There were plenty of good pillows and bedding and the mattress was perfect. This all made for a good night’s rest. The room was quiet enough with street noise in the very background. It was bright and airy with no weird odors. The modern design and clean lines were in keeping with an upgraded feel of luxury within a reasonable price range. They had two parking options behind the hotel and a back entrance, with an unloading zone in the front of the hotel. The lobby was beautiful with a gas fireplace and plenty of seating to visit with friends. There was also a loft type seating area upstairs overlooking the lobby. Small loft area…. I had better not forget to mention how nice the bathroom was. Great space to put on make up! The bathroom was sparkling with perfect tile, a vessel sink, shower and tub. We did have an upgraded room since they were not very busy that Tuesday evening. I also checked out their conference room and was pleasantly surprised. A staff employee named Thomas was doing a set up for a conference starting the next day. All the staff there were to be applauded for their excellent attitudes and experience. Each and every person I met bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. I can’t image staying anywhere else in the future. Next, walk over to the Huntsman restaurant for dinner. It made for a perfect night! Don’t forget to like my review and photos. Follow me, I’ve had over 1.1 million reviews read by people like you. My

The hotel was a nice place to stay on my way to Mt. Hood in historic downtown Ellensburg. I reserved a king skyline room with a work desk, a couch, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, free WiFi, and a sliding barn for the bathroom door. The room did have a place to hang my clothes, but no place to put them away, and no microwave. The lights operated with the room key, and the bathroom fan and light on the mirror are on all the time The renovated Elks building has a rooftop deck, a fitness center, and an ice machine that was near my room on the fourth floor. Located on North Main Street (I-90) near 5th in downtown Ellensburg with a parking lot behind the building. on Pearl Street. A nice place to stay in Ellensburg with a great location, friendly service, and comfortable rooms with a fun vibe.

Living near town we have never felt the need to get a Hotel here. Things changed this week when we were notified that we had reached level three evacuation due to the Cow Canyon fire. The Windrow was one hotel we called. When they heard why we needed a room they found a room right away and gave us a special rate. Everyone at the windrow was friendly, and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is a great little hotel.

My wife and I have a business that takes us on the road a lot and we have to stay in hotels 20+ times a year on average. I, to be honest hate the food in almost every hotel we have been in, not to mention that they are always expensive. The restaurant in the Windrow is the Basalt. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Food was great and prices were pretty much the same as any other place in town. In fact we though the drink prices were a bit less than some of the places we go in town. We will be back for food and drinks here. It is walking distance to everything downtown and it is just a relaxing place to be, not to mention that they have a nice little rooftop bar with great views of town and the country around Ellensburg.

We moved from a 2,800 sqft home in the middle of town to a little 1000 sqft home in the hills above town and so have no room for out of town company to stay with us. We will be letting friends and family know that when they come to visit the only hotel we recommend is the Windrow. Rates are good and we were surprised that they were within $20 or so dollars of the Holiday Inn Express out by the freeway. We would gladly pay a little more for a much nicer place that is close to everything.

If your in town or passing through, you need to stay here, so relaxing and such a...

The room was beautiful, comfortable and modern, and also very clean. The location is great, being downtown it's super easy to walk anywhere - with great restaurants and bars around that is definitely a plus. The staff was so friendly and helpful - we did request a later check in, but ended up arriving earlier than expected, so the room was not quite ready yet, but that was no problem since we were planning to get some dinner anyways. The front desk staff without hesitation offered us two free drink vouchers for the rooftop bar. The views from the roof were amazing! It was definitely not the most full service of bars, the options were limited but we can't complain especially since they were free. The bartender was the best! We also had drinks and dessert at the hotel restaurant, which were delicious. I only have two minor issues and that is the reason I decided on 4 instead of 5 stars. We were on the fourth floor (top floor), and I assume there was an HVAC unit directly above our room - it was very noisy during the night. It came on constantly and woke me up nearly every time. My other issue was the parking. We were able to find one spot in the lot behind the hotel, but that is 24 hour parking only. Luckily we were staying for one day only so it was not a problem this time, but I could anticipate this being an issue with stays of longer duration. Also, we were lucky enough to pull in just as someone else was leaving and therefore were able to secure a spot, but if not, we would have had to park at the overflow lot which I understood to be 1-2 blocks away. Not a huge deal for us, however I can image this would be more of an inconvenience for guests staying in the winter months. Overall, I would stay again for sure, if I was in...
