Ignorant owner who doesn't know the laws regarding service animals.
I was refused service by the manager because my service dog was not wearing a vest and I couldn't provide documentation on the spot. According to ADA law, service dogs are not required to wear a vest or carry paperwork. She didn't ask me any questions at all, just plainly told me that no animals were allowed in the building, even after I said that my dog was a service animal TWICE. When I contacted the owner, I found him to be rude and surprisingly ignorant of basic service animal rights. Instead of apologizing or showing any willingness to learn, he doubled down, threatened me with legal action, and banned me from the restaurant.
I left quietly after being denied service and did not argue or cause a scene. At no point was I being rude to the server and the manager. I am disappointed by the lack of understanding and hostility from both the staff and management. I hope they educate themselves about ADA requirements, treat disabled guests with respect, and avoid further discrimination in the future.
I’m sharing my honest experience so other disabled guests are aware.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The manager Brigitte(not 100% sure) refused to allow me and my service dog to dine there on December 14th, 2024. She repeatedly said that no animal was allowed in the building in a very rude manner and harsh tone, although there was a sign on the door indicating that service animals were allowed. I kept insisting that my dog was a service animal, yet she didn't back down. I've been working with my lawyer regarding this case. I'll also post reviews on different websites, as well as publishing a video about this incident on my social media channels. This is not how customers should be treated. Also, they're was an empty table that could sit 6 people but they made a group of 4 people wait for more than half an hour, because they'd rather save it for a bigger group. The dumbest manager and staffs I've...
Read moreFirst let me start by saying that I’ve lived in Ellensburg for a little over 2 years and I drive past this place everyday for grocery store runs, work, errands, DoorDash etc. and I’ve always been curious about this place. I won’t brag too much about my cooking but I make my own pasta and sauces so I’ve completely ruin some dishes but over time I have gotten better and family and friends often refer to my dishes and ask me to make them for events.
Well, today my family and myself decided to stop in and give Ellensburg Pasta a try.
It wasn’t the 25 minute waiting to be seated at a restaurant in a small town, It wasn’t the fact that once we did get seated that we were put in the far back seating area of the restaurant (where there was at least 15 OPEN TABLES!! With customers already seated and dining) It wasn’t the fact that the room we were in was being cooled by the worlds smaller A/C unit in the most humid room ever, it wasn’t the fact that NOT ONCE did our waitress ask us if we were wanted anything other than water, it wasn’t the fact that once we did order our food (my 2 daughters ordered KID MENU items!, quesadilla and spaghetti and meatballs) their dishes were twice the size of mine (Seafood fettuccine) when mine cost more than twice as much!
It was the fact that I was so excited to try a new restaurant and was horribly let down. 10/10 for sure I would never go again.
The next time I feel like wasting $90 on our dinner I’ll just buy premium steak cuts with seafood and cook at home. I hardly write reviews for places but I felt this one earned a honest review for customers to read and be aware. If you do go just order off the...
Read moreI’d give this place 3 or 4 stars but the last few times I’ve been in we had a server we’d not had before. Usually with the staff it’s either I’m bored and have to be here or I can’t wait to get off and get on with my life college student type, but we got a new one. I’m guessing still a college student but actually works hard, genuinely friendly and helpful and nearly reads your mind great service. My husband and I disagree on her name I thought it was Ashton but he says Aspen? Super long dark hair. If you get her you’ll have a great experience as the food here is almost always great, but the service is why we stopped going so much when we were in town. Around late May my sister who is going to college here said no we’ve got to go and we did. That was the first time we actually had good let alone excellent service. Since then we’ve asked for her or sat in the bar and had her and it’s been great all around! You’ve got lifers as long as the service standards she’s set continue! Service is as important to me as the food. If I feel unwelcome, unwanted, uncomfortable and like I’m an imposition just being there great food doesn’t make it better as I can’t enjoy it then. You’ll notice in my reviews that I’ll name an overly amazing server if I experienced one so you can ask for them too! I won’t put a name up if I got poor or even terrible service as I don’t think that would be appropriate to...
