The Mule — Restaurant in Ellensburg

I’ve been in there a few times never got their food. But their drinks are usually really good. I went there today and ordered a drink, and they gave it to me. I asked if they had a phone charger and they said yes, so I went and plugged it in. As I was coming back, the server had a hold of my bank card and my ID saying my ID was fake. (This is after they served me) I told them if they didn’t believe me that they could call dispatch to come confirm that it was real. They insisted that I did not do that. I then asked if they could put two and two together that I am in fact the person on the ID due to the card and the ID having matching names, they said no. I asked if I could run home and grab my CPL (Concealed Pistol License) and they said no. I explained that it is an issued document from the police station that you have to be 21+ to obtain. They still denied me. I do not have a passport. The only other form of ID I have is a picture of my ID from before I lost it and got this new one was issued. They still denied it. I asked the reasoning behind it, and they said “it just looks fake.” Really weird considering it was issued April of this year. Maybe the lady needed new glasses. Really frustrating concerning I’ve been there multiple times with no issues. Not only that they treated me like I’m some criminal. I will never be back due...

Extremely friendly. We love the sliders and poutine. Best service, best sliders and best Moscow Mule (Matriarch) in the state! Love this place. The owner goes above and beyond. Very diverse crowd, 21-80, everyone welcome.

Just got home after a surprise visit to The Mule downtown. We just needed to get out and we always like it there. I decided to try one of their new Smash Burgers-got the Reuben Smash Burger. Oh. My. Gosh. It is the best “burger” I ever had. Might also be the biggest burger I ever had! I’m not a foodie so I won’t be able to do it justice by describing it but that burger and a Maui Mule and I will be happy happy (and extremely full) for a week!! I had a No Name specialty cocktail which had house infused jalapeño vodka, fresh squeezed lime juice and cilantro - it was really good and not as spicy as I thought, plus it was green. I also had a Mediterranean mule which is a fig flavored Moscow mule and it may be my new favorite. Off the food menu I tried the Shrimp and Grits since you can't find them in town almost anywhere else and the Shepherds Pie. Both were good enough to recommend and order again.
