Terrible service. We walked in and the young man working there visibly looked annoyed that we were dinning in. We had to just seat ourselves. I asked if they had iced tea, which he said they did not by just kind of grunting. The menu said they did. He gave us menus and never came back. I had to seek him out and found him crouched behind the counter looking at his phone. The food was good but not great (see photos). After several more guests came in, a lady working in the back started to yell at the young man for several minutes. She also came out every few minutes yelling out names of take out orders even though no one was standing there waiting for take out. She was extremely loud and this killed the dinning experience and mood. Also, one restroom was out of order and the other had strange signage (see photos). I'll never go back...
Read moreThe atmosphere here is very bland. Small restaurant with very limited seating. The lady who runs the counter is not friendly, and her bad attitude clearly shows. But the food is quite good. We have been there 3 times and have been VERY pleased each time. The last dish I had there was the Kung Pao chicken, and it was the best I've ever had. My wife had Egg Foo Yung and she loved it. The fried rice is good, but not great. But overall we have been very pleased with the food. It's not the best, but it's not bad. The portions are appropriate, but probably smaller than what you get at most Chinese eateries. Still, they are surely at least a serving size, and I still had enough left over for a light lunch the next day. So if you are looking for a romantic, nice restaurant, this is NOT it. But if you just want really good chinese food, this...
Read moreTried Asian House tonight with high hopes. Atmosphere is terrific! Menu is varied without being overdone. Employees were pleasant, not overly friendly but capable. Ordered 2 appetizers and they were prepared well. Unfortunately the Moo Goo Gai Pan (which is literally Chicken and Vegetables) had only mushrooms and carrots - no bamboo shoots, no pea pods, no celery - not even broccoli as a substitute. It’s served with a very small amount of rice, about 1 cup. We asked for more rice and they brought out another small portion. When the bill arrived, they up charged the Moo Goo Gai Pan $1 over the Chicken with Vegetables menu price and up charged the additional 1 cup of rice for $2.50. Btw, just for your information, they don’t appear to serve beer or wine. I guess I’ll just keep looking for a decent Asian food restaurant with...
