Had to park in adjoining business lot due to absence of wheelchair accessible parking, then had to have daughter assist to lift chair over high threshold to get through entry, then had to shuffle back and forth while people came and went...kept getting told someone would seat us soon...after a while someone finally came to let us know she was helping run the hot foot and would eventually get to us. When she finally got to us, we let her know we came because of the ad saying something about partying on the patio and watching the firework show while dining. She said she wasn't sure if we'd be able to see anything from the patio and wasn't sure if anyone was leaving from the patio anytime soon ...and ushered toward a loud space inside the restaurant where sounds were vibrating my head... So my daughter helped me get back through the threshold to leave, and almost as soon as we exited, a few couples left the patio. I have worked in the industry, you know if tickets are handed to tables they're leaving soon. She just wanted us gone....
Posting after reading reply. The hostess let us know she couldn't gauge, but people left as we were leaving. It's easy to gauge exiters by who is asking for their ticket because they are getting ready to pay their bill and leave. I've worked in hospitality before it's not that difficult to anticipate. There are easy and very inexpensive means to make things more accessible like a little rubber mat over the threshold or a few little portable ramps that Amazon has for less than $100. I was not the only person there with mobility issues I saw quite a few canes and people having to hold their companion and assist so I'm not the only one that was affected although I may be the only one willing to verbalize how inconvenient and uncomfortable...
Read moreHorrible experience. I enjoy the Blue Crush burger that is served but will never again return to this restaurant, due to the old lady in the red dress today running the bar at lunch on 7/2/25. Went to the bar for a pick up order and was only greeted with "takeout?" Was given wrong order, as I come back inside instead of being greeted at all once again was met with a nasty disgruntled look. Once again, from the only server and bartender there the old lady.I had to say I was given the incorrect order as she looked at me like I was incorrect and made me feel totally unwelcomed. She said no apologies, nothing, completely unprofessional and RUDE then reached in SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER and got mine out then replaced it with the one I was given. That was DISGUSTING and once again showed the incompetence of the server and apparently the restaurant. I recommend you go to Culver's or Joey's Bs in the area because this experience was ridiculous and not worth the money they charge to treat customers as problems to deal with, when they themselves can't complete an order of one sandwich and then treat you like a fool.
EDIT** This restaurant is a joke. They still put blame on the customer instead of their own poor business interactions with their guests. The lunch rush was 2 guys at a bar watching a baseball game and a few tables seated, almost empty. I can see how that would be overwhelming for an elderly server. It is also funny they noted in the comments that my attitude made customers uncomfortable...so literally just the two guys at the bar? That I also guess are regulars if they were able to ask them and the customers recall such a quick and brief interaction on such a slow day. Sounds like another lie to excuse the poor customer service they have....
Read moreI don't know who the owner is but whoever you are you need to pay attention to what your waitresses are doing. Sarah our waitress took our drink and food and soon after tabbed out everyone sitting at the bar and handed each of us our tickets and told us that it was the end of her shift and that we needed to pay and then Megan would take over if we wanted to hang around. We had not even gotten out food yet! Many of us begin to talk about this as it was happening because it was simply "rude". The couple to the left of me was pretty disgruntled, stating why am I tabbing out and tipping and then I'm going to order more alcohol to drink from someone else and tip them too? The bar area was pretty full and some of the people regulars to the bar. Even they were talking about Sarah tabbing them out. This caused some of the people to just feel like they needed to pack it up and go home and you could clearly tell that they weren't quite ready to do so. Of course Sarah wanted us to pay so that she could get her tips and go home, however she was STILL there 45 more minutes. I really don't care what Sarah wants, as a customer that's not on me. To allow this to happen is absolutely ridiculous. Why am I going to put something on my charge card and then turn around order a few more wanted drinks and make a second charge to the same place of business within the hour. And I'm certainly not going to tip two people, why would I? Put a stop to this immediately, I for one will never put up with it again. The bar itself is quaint and food decent. I likely would have returned has this not been an issue. Sarah is imposing on the guest.. Don't allow...
