Clarkson Road (Ellisville) location. Place was filthy. Beef was cut waaaaaay to thick. Employees nice enough (looked baked though). Condiment station disgusting. I worked as an Area/GM in corporate food for almost 7 years and I'd be very upset to walk into a unit and see it in this kind of shape. No other customers inside...4 team members just standing. As corporate/ownership knows, there's never a time an employee is on the clock and something DOESN'T need cleaning. I place blame here on the Area Manager and Owner. You should be ashamed. Patrons reading this please understand these places work like any other business and examples should be set by leadership. That precedent is 100% absent here. Lions Choice was once a STAPLE of St. Louis and the best Roast Beef around...when done correctly it still is but this was downright depressing. I was literally driving home telling my 8-year-old how awesome it used to be. I do feel older now reminiscing, but this ain't just an age thing...you should either address this mess (as it's been a constant since opening) or just cut your loses and close it down. Really bad look for a great restaurant and HAS to be losing market share in light of the...

Kids meal claims they help you easily make healthy choices, but requires you in reality to choose a sugary dessert as a side item instead of maybe a 2nd savory option. I had to choose an ice cream cone or cookie instead of applesauce alongside my veggie sticks. So that's kind of dumb. Veggies were baby carrots, broccoli flowers and two grape tomatoes in a lidded portion cup. They were relatively fresh and edible.
Secondly (and this is also just anecdotal), but the milk I got with the kids meal was a week expired. So maybe just chalk it up to poor training. But still a liability and worth mentioning.
Also worth mentioning is that my kid liked the Mac and cheese. But my #1 roast beef was unremarkable and if one has ever worked in food service before they could determine my French fries were "double fried" to lazily reheat them and make them passable for serving, instead of rightfully dropping fresh potatoes for the new incoming order...(also poor training).
We won't...

For no particular reason I decided to stop by this local restaurant and pick up a roast beef meal with a Dr. Pepper. The woman that took my order was exceptionally nice and patient with me, and the young man that handled my money had a wide and bright smile that made me feel valued as a customer. The crew at this location had my order out ridiculously fast and I headed back home. My whole life had been leading up to this moment. I unwrapped the beautifully wrapped roast beef sandwich and took a bite. Upon doing so, all my questions have been answered. The sandwich that sat atop the mountain was this very sandwich. Not only were the fries absolutely crazy good, but this sandwich was something else. It was a sandwich fit for a king. My mouth-watering from it's savory goodness and delightful seasoning, that is exactly how I felt:...
