I am in extremely envious of people who live in Elmhurst, who get to enjoy Brewpoint Coffee whenever they'd like. This coffee shop is nestled in the downtown area by the train tracks and is great for those who have to commute to work or school. This coffee shop is very cozy when you get inside (my favorite spot to have coffee in is the little nook). They have such a variety of coffee and tea that there is for sure something that will tickle your tastebuds at Brewpoint Coffee. I love that this is a local business and their story that tells how they created the concept of Brewpoint is unique. Their signature lattes are truly the best around - from the Amelia Earhart, Bartolome, Lewis & Clark and Marco Polo you will sure find a signature latte that meets your coffee needs. If coffee just is not your cup of tea (sorry bad pun) they do offer tea as well. They also have a case of goodies to satisfy any sweet tooth which is great during a morning run into Brewpoint.
I have never been here during a day in the spring or summer when it is warm enough out - but they do have a cute little set up outside should you have your pooch along with you, you can sit with them outside.
Parking is limited due to street parking, however, the parking garage is not too far away so it is...
Read moreFirst and foremost, the location is in a great spot. We love downtown Elmhurst and the aesthetic of the storefront is spot on. However, our experience with the walk up ordering process left a lot to be desired. After ordering two cups of coffee that required cold brew and waiting 15 minutes for our order, the barista came back to tell us they were out of the cold brew and other components required to make the drink. When we finally got our coffee (which was completely different from our original order since they didn’t have the necessary ingredients to fulfill the first order) the order wasn’t called out and I had to ask the barista for our drinks which were visible from the walk up window. The coffees were lukewarm, but they were flavorful. Despite our first experience, my wife and I visited again but went inside of the cafe this time. The experience was completely different. It was fast, friendly and the coffee was incredible (probably because it was hot this time and the flavors weren’t as muted as the first). Don’t order from the walk up bar, order from the inside. It’s a good place, just a bad...
Read moreMixed review here I'm a long time fan of the drinks and Brewpoint Founders café was my all time favorite coffee shop from the area because of its former cozy feel and cute aesthetic
But all that said the place has gone to shambles since the newer location was built ( this coffee shop now seems so neglected and lacking tlc) For example, the floors are in a desperate need of refinishing, the tables look rickety and poor quality, the cute cozy corner that formerly had books and pillows is bare, the couch is gone and there's no comfortable seating, any cute art from local artists is gone Instead there is now a blazing neon sign with the logo on the wall which kinda ruins the ambiance (and for anyone like me with migraines triggered by powerful light, it's way too much)
I love this place for its drinks and for its potential but it needs some loveee
It just makes me sad lately to go there And I'm not the only one that has noticed Others I've gone with that hadn't visited in awhile have pointed...
