McDonald's — Restaurant in Elmira Township

If i could rate 0 i would. I go here every so often as i work at one of the hotels next door, my shift starts 11pm so i understand i go there before it closes and can be frustrating for workers. Last night i went there to get food for my and my girlfriend and we had been waiting 5 hours to eat n we were just gonna eat before i worked at 11pm. I pull up about 10:45ish and as the lady is taking my ordee in the drive through the line is cut and a minute later some guy says "sorry we closed early due to the weather"......so youre telling me 15 mins early for bad weather youre being told to close early yet your coworker was taking my order didnt know you were closing early? So then i call the store after to get his name, his managers name and phone number and his district managers phone number so i can verify that he was told to close convienently as i pulled up to get food. He just laughs and continues to ask me why i need the information. I have worked fast food for 9 years in the past, i have never been screwed like this or treated like this or even seen this happen in all my years working fast food. I understand people showing up before close is frustrating but if youre already working at mcdonalds and cant even do that right then theres 0 hope for you. The store is clean, the employees are kind. But the store (owners) has decided they will not cashier orders in person and will only take orders through the kiosk. We have had extremely bad experiences in other restaurants that go this route. My spouse almost made us leave the minute we walked in the door and saw the signs saying we could only order through the kiosk. The employees even admitted that they hate it, too. The service ended up being fine for us, but the order behind ours was messed up. The kiosk said we could only order for carry-out, but the employees said it was fine to dine it. So we did. But without humans to interact with at the counter and the kiosk telling us to get our food and go, we pretty much felt unwelcome at the store. Were it not for the humans we did interact with, we would have chosen to leave and eat...

Stopped here on our way out of town for dinner. We went through the drive thru. We ordered some burgers and milkshakes. The burgers were great. But the milkshakes looked soupy. The gal helping us seemed willing to check on it. However the woman she checked with told her that, that was how they came out of the machine and they were fine. The whipped cream was floating around on top like a boat on a pond. They were definitely not as thick as they should have been. I told her that I didn't want them. I didn't want them spilled all over the car. She said she'd put a lid on them. But the attitude that she gave off was that it was what it was and she wasn't going to try to fix it.
