I stop into this Biggby here and there. Most often its decent turn around and the coffee is always good. This past visit was the most irritating. I waited in line behind TWO cars from window to me for 15 minutes. (15 mins isn’t that long, but for drive thru service this is beyond reasonable)
When I got up to the window I expected there to be ONE person. I thought, “Must only be one person working, having to do everything. “
It was to my surprise that there were SIX employees behind the counter. Three of them leaning against the counters, one person making the coffee. I thought, this franchise owner must love to throw their money in the garbage. With a labor rate north of $100 an hr at minimum, making only 4 coffees in 15 mins with NOBODY INSIDE ORDERING. Simple math says you won’t last long.
I’m not a Nobel laureate or anything in business but I would say probably need to make some changes. As everyone’s grandmother would say, “If you got time to lean, then you got time to clean.”
Aside from that, why wouldn’t you petition Elyria and the property owner to move the order box farther away from the window? So then there is more allotted time for the drinks to be made? I suppose when you go out of business, I’ll buy the business at a fraction of the cost and make the...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite spots for coffee but recently the service is definitely lacking the manager or owner or whatever is extremely rude and Heaven forbid your order is wrong. I ordered the same drink almost every day with sweet foam cold brew, and was given one with the sweet foam and it was chunky when I called back up to ask why it was chunky. He told me it was because it was frozen and I told him that I get the drink every single day and not only was it chunky, but it smelled bad so I didn’t want a new coffee. Just wanted to let him know so that somebody else didn’t get the bad cream. He proceeded to get extremely rude with me on the phone so I ended the call gave them another shot today Got a coffee with extra caramel hot and when I watch them make the drink after standing there for several minutes and addressed it when it was wrong he got extremely rude and standoffish again time to find a new coffee spot it’s a shame because the coffee itself is great and money there everyday but ever since Davonia left the customer service...
Read moreI love my local Biggby location, as I go daily for my "regular" latte order. I know that crafting such complicated drinks can be time consuming, but the drive thru line simply takes way too long to go through. This would be expected on days such as Wednesday or Friday, since those are promotional days, but this is a daily issue. Fortunately, today I quickly ordered my "regular, I come here every day for this" latte, and I'm ecstatic that I will make work in great time. But after a while, I question why I must sit in line 10 minutes for the car ahead of me to receive 1 drink, and then I wait another 5 minutes for that same car to receive their last item- 1 sandwich. And then unlucky for me, my order was lost after all. Had to repeat it. I work service as well, in the same area of the city, so I am completely aware that "rushes" exist.
