My family went here today and were frankly worried because NOBODY was here. Let me tell you that this restaurant is amazing. Our waitress was super attentive and the food was so good and fresh. There was 3 of us and two of us ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and the other ordered scallops and steak. I can't imagine it's easy to keep quality seafood like scallops and shrimp around but this was super fresh and delicious. Our salads (with house ginger dressing) and soup came to us fresh and super fast. Then the hibachi cook came out and cooked everything to perfection along with throwing us brocolli lol. I was honestly amazed at the quality of food we received and I've been to hibachi restaurants all across the United States. This place was top notch. I can't wait to go here again and the overall menu prices were on par with similar restaurants but with higher quality food. A restaurant that can accurately cook fresh scallops says a lot. Read moreI’ve been coming here for years. We’ve moved to Houston, but every time we come to town we love to visit Kevin and this delicious sushi. BUT..thanksgiving weekend I stopped with a friend and everything was good until the hostess/waitress got into an argument with a wrong order on the phone. She became belligerent and loud and immediately went into a ghetto mode. Completely unacceptable. She ruined the atmosphere and our environment. I couldn’t wait to leave. Terrible. Then I came in last week. Got here early, was going to order to go. Same girl opened 15 minutes late at 12:15pm. I walked in with an Uber eats driver. I told him to go first. She immediately said “I’m not ready.” And acted as if we were the problem. Needless to say I walked out. Gave my business to someone else. This hostess/waitress is an issue. Until this issue is dealt with, and I absolutely love the food and the owner Kevin, I will not be going back. Too bad too. The food and the sushi chefs are great. Read moreIt's been years since I visited here. The mall is pretty much dead but wasabi steakhouse is still open. There were only 4 other customers in the restaurant when we arrived. It was kind of dark and had a funky smell toward the back of the restaurant. I was immediately worried that the food and service may not be as good as it was on years past. Thankfully I was wrong. The good was delicious. Fresh vegetables, delicious soup and salad, our steak and shrimp was delicious, seasoned well and cooked just right! Our chef was great, he was funny and happy, and of course was very entertaining. Service was ok. The only think that really bothered me was that when she would walk passed between the only two tables occupied she would mutter under her breathe about the people was she working with, "no, she didn't turn this on, why would she it's only what she's supposed to do every time" "This is why I hate working here" I worked in the food industry, I know it's tough and frustrating, but I hope I never complained or around my customers like...
