As lifelong resident, sadly, I have to say that this entire Emeryville market installation is overpriced, only suitable for 1% of the locals, and a lot of the food has a mall flavor to it as did my combo plate, with chicken curry, and lamb Curry, with Naan, and a mango Lassie, all of which cost me $33. This is literally double the price of places like Indus Village in Berkeley. Both currys were bland, and the non was absolutely flavorless, having been pre-cooked and then stored in tin foil. People not native to this area may like this place cuz they don't know of the other places that are available, or maybe it's just convenient for them, but this restaurant, and this entire market installation we're not designed with local people in mind, period. Having said that, the people working there were very nice, and cordial and helpful when I asked questions. I just wish the food was better, less expensive, and available to many of the low-income or working class people that live in the surrounding neighborhoods that installations like this have replaced

I come to the bay area for travel frequently and I ALWAYS come here to get amazing food. The chicken Tikka is bomb, the lamb is on another level and always get a ton of nann !! I think about this place when I am gone because it is really good.

Inside the Public Marketplace food court center. Quality Indian food. Slowly working my way through all the dishes. Haven't had a bad one yet. Great flavors and good portions.

Rude ! I approached the register to order items that are at the register at not the hot line far before two men in construction suits reach the end of the line where you order food that’s on the hot line , man proceeds to take the first guy while cutting me in line with no care that I was already waiting to be serviced. He rings in him and , then he tried to avoid eye contact while starting to head to the second guy that’s immediately when I spoke up and said I was here waiTing before they made it there. That’s not okay I’m not sure if he assumed I was a teenager or something that wasn’t gonna notice /say anything...

This place is great. The staff there are so friendly, it's really well priced, and the portions are filling. We typically get their chicken tikka masala, vindaloo, or curry. I really enjoy their fresh naan, and also appreciate that they have gluten free mains which is important for my partner. They offer a small tasting sample if you need it, as they have many options and you may want one before deciding. My only wish, and I agree with some other reviews on this, is that you could order something extra...
