Marshalls — Local services in Emeryville

It's Marshall's, good brands, modest discounts, very nice clearance prices, Walmart-like service, pretty standard...it's Ross' bigger, more stylish sister with a higher budget. This particular store in Emeryville has 2 features I really could do without : first is an inconvenient restroom which requires an elevator ride to another parallel universe, a transfer to a different basement location, a walk thru undisplayed merchandise set aside for Christmas, and if your bladder had held, your final reward, a less than clean place to park it.

The second is more a nasty nuisance, the store's hours, which on Sunday it doesn't open 11am. 11am is a disrespect of their customers' time. We need to get this done so we can enjoy our afternoons elsewhere. Those are bankers hours, but even my bank has better, more convenient hours. 11am....I've already been to Walmart, Target,, IKEA, Ross, Bevmo, and I still have to wait to spend whatever's leftover at 11. In fact, had i time to write this review, waiting for their employees to rid their hangovers from the night before,and figure out the lock. If I had a real life, ain't no way I'm waiting around till 11am to shop at Marshall's. I'm a man, need men's hours... early morning or late at night. Those stores...

The customer service cashier that attended me I believe by the name Karina seemed upset and discriminatory against me for coming into the store kept delaying my payment wanting to see my ID for a reason or other then taking my card and declining my payment I have visited several Marshall's in northern california as I am a general contractor and provide services throughout the northern california region this young woman was very rude and disrespectful very unprofessional lacking education or any kind of business etiquette I went to nearest atm returned to pay for my things with cash she ran my cash bills through a machine again delaying my payment I feel sad that people that are angry with themselves and hate their jobs have to work around people in this community this was the worst customer service I have received from any Marshall's or adjoining stores that form this company. I KNOW THAT SOME PEOPLE LACK THE RESOURCE FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO ACT IGNORANT AND DISRESPECTFUL NEGATIVE ZERO STARZ AND ILL NEVER SHOP AT...

There is a Hispanic man who is very rude. I believe he is a supervisor and "tries" to be condescending and sarcastic. He treats me as if I am inconveniencing him and he starts to speak to me in Spanish (both time he has checked me out months apart) from the get go (never a greeting). He must believe I am a push over because that's how racist people treat non English speaking people trying to intimidate them. I was born and raised in the USA and I can tell by his accent he wasn't so he should get down whatever cloud he believes he lives in, pinche cara de nopal. I mentioned him to both my sister and mom and they knew right away who I was referring to. Aside from this guy, I once found smeared crap all over dog beds and it was dried so it must had been there for a while which tells me some employees aren't doing there job. This was my 4th and last visit...
