I ordered via mobile on 01/07 around 6:30pm. Staff was quick and friendly. However, at the same exact time the person in back handed my open bag up to the guy working the drive-thru, the guy open-mouth sneezed HARD over the open top of my bag, THEN folded it closed, turned, handed it to me in the window, said thank you and turned around to continue working. I drove away slowly, pausing before exiting at the curved drive area back to 18th just trying to take it all in. I thought the fries are definitely trash, but I guess the hamburgers should be wrapped and okay. I looked in my bag to see both bottom burger buns, wrappers open and splayed upwards. I threw my food away and went elsewhere. I'm not going to eat food with someone else's snot and saliva all over it.
Furthermore, If that passes as sanitary enough to staff (when 2 others plus him were all 3 right there in a tiny area and definitely all saw it) and not one of them thought to say "I'm so sorry let me get you new food"... they just passed the bag to me and went on working after... then there's no way I trust their food service and sanitation practices enough to ask to have it remade. I mean, is McDonalds not having enough of a cross-contamination problem at the moment with the e. coli and onion outbreak that we need to sneeze directly over the food too? When is the last time hands were washed? What else was right there that they sneezed all over and are going to give to other customers? Cups and lids, napkins, salt, ketchup, the counter... basically everything?
It's normal and fine to sneeze. I'm not upset about a bodily function at all, but the sneeze wasn't covered or contained and it was open-mouthed directly over my open bag of food. We teach toddlers to cover coughs and sneezes. It's not difficult or even a foreign concept. (Did you learn nothing from COVID even?! BTW that and the flu are currently going thru our community again, as are colds.) I'm not a germiphobe by any stretch of the imagination, but I was completely grossed out.
They weren't even busy. There weren't other customers and cars lined up everywhere. It was me, a guy getting a large coffee also in drive-thru and 2 people exiting the inside. That was it. If you can't take a moment to make it right when you're slow... then what corners are being cut, including sanitary practices, when...
Read moreUpdate 1-19-2025. I went to get breakfast for me and my mom and I was waiting almost 15 minutes just to get 2 orders of Biscuits and Gravy, a breakfast Burrito, and 3 Hashbrowns. They forgot my Hashbrowns and I had to ask for them. The lady was rude about it and acted like she didn't want to even serve me. Then when I git to my mom's I realized the hashbrowns were old, flimsy, and soggy from sitting and my breakfast Burrito was mostly dry crunchy Tortilla with no filling. I was very disappointed with my oorder but at least my Biscuits and Gravy were good. I will prolly never go back to this McDonalds for Breakfast Again. Please see the video I included of the crusty Breakfast Burrito they served me. Tighten up W 18th McDonald's. You're better than that and if your employees don't want to work there then maybe they should quit.
I got one of the worst orders of Biscuits and Gravy from here through drive thru this morning and was very disappointed cause they were skimpy on the Gravy and the biscuits were dry from having no Gravy on them. I drove back out to that McDonald's location that's over 3 miles from my house one way but barly made it and the lady was nice and exchanged them for fresh delicious ones so they redeemed themselves cause I was hungrier than a hostage.Just always check your order if you go thru...
Read moreAcceptable, but not the greatest. Two weeks in a row the service was lacking. Last week my wife ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with no egg via mobile order. When we got our food, we should have checked. Her sandwich had a tag which clearly stated NO EGG. Unwrapped it to find the sandwich had egg and cheese but no sausage. Unfortunately we were several miles down the road by this time. Today we ordered cinnamon rolls and got no forks. I had to go inside and wait in line (and I was the first person in line) just to get forks. In addition to this, we tried to use the app to order the Buy One Get One Free to get two sausage and cheese biscuits, because they were listed on the app as available. However, when they were put in the cart it said not available. So I tried to order them without using the Deal, only they weren't available on that menu. I was easily able to order a sausage biscuit with cheese added however. This makes no sense to me. We'll still go to this location because it's convenient, and I realize the employees aren't paid well, but it's...
