Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Emporia

Just like Brandi’s review a few months ago…I got there with my family about 8:15pm on a Friday. They were about to seat us but told us the buffet was closing. Fine, figured we just order from the menu anyways. However before we got seated the server said that “they” (motioning to herself and another worker) had to leave in an hour. So they said we couldn’t be served. Their hours didn’t say they close till midnight. Now I get it, some places close their lobby earlier. However the indication was not that they were closing their lobby but more like the workers’ shifts were ending. If that was the case, then I think an hour woulda been enough time to serve us. Overall, it sure seemed like they just didn’t want to get “involved” with another table close to when they wanted to get off their shift.

So after leaving, I took my family back to our place, then proceeded to order carry out through the phone app. (Kids really wanted ‘The Hut’). Ok so I went to get the pizza with a couple of tagalong kids. Get there about 8:45-8:50pm. Pull on the doors, locked. Knock on the doors. Someone at the counter looks at me, so I look back and wait. Then he comes over opens the door and says they are closed (maybe he just meant the lobby). I say that’s fine I just have a carry out order. He asks if I have a vehicle, and if I can pull around to the drive thru window. He said he was “legally” not allowed to let us inside. BS. Sure maybe there was a store policy or something…whatever I get back in my car and go around the drive thru and pay and get my pizza. Overall, just poor customer service. More honest explanations would have been better. The Employees I interacted with need better training in...

Let me start by saying the cooks baked the best pizza we have ever had from pizza hut. Why I rated one star.....our server Hailey was far from pleasant. Took more than 5 minutes to be greeted by her. She then took our order, but was beyond rude. 5 minutes later we finally got our drinks. Our pizza was ready in about 10 minutes, so thankful for that. Then she dropped the check, but not one time did she come over to refill drinks, ask how it was, etc. She never came back to the table to close out our check. So I walked to the register, no one was anywhere to be seen. A lady walked out from the bathroom and yelled "Hailey, your people need to check out." Hailey walks up, says to come to this register, gives me the total, and rudely says "here's the receipt, sign the top." We used to live in emporia 4 years ago, and I have never received such horrible service. I suggest Pizza Ranch, which is right next door....

It's really sad when like some place's food but have to NEVER visit it again because of horribly terrible service.

My friend and I waited 10 mins just to get seated, when we were the only customers. The servant (without indicating who they were because don't want them to get hurt) then came with a pretty mad face, and then they took the order and waited 25 mins on two medium pizzas, we waited and waited and waited for a drink refill, but nobody came and asked for anything. Also, my friend had to go ask them for a to-go box to inform them that we are DONE! They came and then gave the boxes with NO SMILE AND NO WORDS at all.

I am extremely sure that a smile does not cost a single cent and a nice word is pretty pretty cheap. NOT VISITING THIS...
