I have been frequenting this location since 2022 and I visit quite often. They have the supplies my daughter requires for her classroom, as well as the items I need for my office at the hospital, and my husband appreciates the cleaning rags for his car. I follow an app called Lemon 8, which offers numerous ideas using products from Dollar Tree. Given the rising prices, I believe that not just myself but many others are trying to budget every dollar they can. While browsing, I was thrilled to find the cuticle pen for nails and the socks that can be worn with high heels or flats, both recommended by Lemon 8. I picked up a few items and noticed an employee behind me observing, who tried to act nonchalant but clearly did not succeed. I remarked that I wasn't paying attention to her, suggesting that someone woke up in a bad mood. Then, while I was in the aisle with lotions searching for the foot lotion recommended by Lemon 8, I encountered the same unpleasant manager who always seems to carry a negative attitude and lacks professionalism. She also walked by, keeping an eye on me. At that moment, I felt frustrated; never before in my years of shopping at this store have I felt the way I did today. I understand that employees and managers need to monitor for theft, as it impacts the company and its staff—my daughter was a district manager for Claire's, so I am aware of this. However, I did not give them any reason to behave as they did. For context, I was wearing a T-shirt, Spanx shorts with my credit card tucked in the small side pocket, and slippers. The manager walked past and intentionally dropped an item, continuing on as if my husband or I would pick it up. I told my husband not to pick it up! She did that on purpose so she could retrieve it herself! I made sure to say it loudly enough for her to hear, and she returned to put it back on the shelf with her usual attitude. I must say, corporate needs to evaluate these types of employees because they require retraining in customer service, learning how to properly identify potential thieves and how to greet all customers, not just the ones they choose to acknowledge. To those two unprofessional individuals you need...
Read moreI go to this location probably twice a week because I’m a preschool teacher and their school supply section is great for my class. But after tonight I can definitively say that I will NEVER be stepping foot in that store again. I was having a nice time shopping for my class and I went to get checked out at the register and the cashier seemed perfectly fine at our initial meeting and then when I was about to leave she told me that I had left some items behind. I kindly told her that those didn’t belong to me and that they must have been the woman’s who just left. She proceeded to give me the worst attitude that I have ever received in my life. She told me that it was my fault and that I should have paid better attention, blamed me for the whole situation. I was dumbfounded because I have never been talked to like that from someone before. The customers behind me in line were just as shocked with this girls attitude and started standing up for me. She proceeded to give them an attitude too and she rudely told them that she wouldn’t reemburce me for the money that she accidentally charged me and told the customers behind me to reemburce me! I was LIVID! And so were there as I’m sure you can expect. Disgusting behavior! I asked for the manager to be asked over along with the customers behind me and the manager comes over aplogizing for her employees rude behavior and the cashier decided it would be smart to have an attitude while her boss was next to us. I hope to god that employee is fired! Because I will b calling customer service to give them her name, store number, and address. I’m so beyond appalled with the customer service I received. The cashier “apologized” for her rude behavior as I walked out and said she was new, that is NO excuse for rude behavior. I apologize for the novel but that new blonde girl, I believe her name is Jean...not 100% positive, should be fired and put on the not...
Read moreThis DT has come SUCH a long way; specifically over the past year or two and as a DIY’er, I’m soooo here for it!!!…. The Crafters Square just keeps getting better. The store is cleaner and more organized than its ever been and the shelves are stocked. Sales associates are very friendly and always willing to help no matter how busy they are (which is ALWAYS these days). There is one associate in particular, whom I feel deserves special acknowledgment at the absolute least and that’s Carol (one of the Managers)- I’m in DT weekly. So I’d like to think I’ve gotten a pretty accurate perspective over the past year or two and Carol seems to be the glue that keeps the place together. As she seems to be the one doing it all. So Carol, if you’re reading this, I see you… I see you keeping the shelves stocked, checking people out, bringing the carriages back inside, training your co workers, CONSTANTLY cleaning/organizing all the mess leftover by the customers and always having to stop what you’re doing to help with a return or to help someone find something, etc. I also (occasionally) see you when your feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. But most of all, I see how much you care and I just want to thank you so much for ALL you do. Dollar Tree, if you’re reading this, I suggest a pay raise. Lastly…. Customers if you’re reading this, please have some grace, kindness and compassion for your sales associates; as they’re so overworked/overwhelmed with all the labor shortages going on. So in the event it takes them a bit longer to get something out on the floor….show some understanding or instead of adding to the mess, pick a few things up and let’s not forget that our friends are human and only capable of so much during a work shift. (Wowww!! That was a LOT. Sorry, I just couldn’t stop...
