Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Enfield

Submitted an online order during lunch with fingers crossed. Order was ready, right on the estimate. (and thankfully without the mobile order skimp you get from the Mexican pepper restaurant)

Food Quality: I would say 5/5 for value 4/5 for quality. Chicken was charred nicely but not overcooked (others seem to have complained about this but ??? It's grilled chicken...) The rice and vegetables were in good ratio to the protein but the rice was unfortunately overcooked. As 1/3 of the meal, I would recommend dialing in the rice cooking time. Veg was great, cabbage, zucchini, onion, & broccoli.

Interior: it's a takeout only place, no real way to eat inside. Very clean and orderly. Small trashcan for used straw wrappers next to the drink station is an often overlooked touch, but very appreciated. 5/5

Staff: Very friendly, greeted immediately, found order on the shelf for me. (Mobile order shelf is tucked off to the right when you enter, easy to miss) Believe her name was Rachel, brief but friendly encounter, left a good impression. 5/5

Overall: Very tasty, simple meal. Extra sauce on the side is much appreciated. Good protein to sides ratio. Cleanly assembled, not just slopped together. Good value for price, hope to see them open up a few...

Rachel is excellent!!!! I had a little bit of a line behind me the first time I came in, and she took the time to come around the counter and go over how the food is made and what is going on. She even went as far as to make sure I wasn't allergic to anything! That's when I started telling her what I would like to try or had in mind. And I love orange chicken so she suggested the spicy orange chicken which was absolutely phenomenal, I have craved it ever since I tried it! Rachel then said if you like us and enjoy the food and want to come back, you can earn points so I ended up signing up and going back and tried the chicken teriyaki along with the orange chicken and loved it once again. This is the best food that I have ever had in this town, especially with all of the fast food choices that are available to us. Finally, when Rachel had the time she was able to chat with me and other customers, asking us questions and updating us on some things that we didn't know about when it came to all of the options they have. Ordered at 3:05, told it would be ready at 3:20, arrived at 3:25 and was told she forgot to put the order in. Waited and finally got my food at 3:45.

During my wait, witnessed the chef chew a piece of raw chicken while working the grill. Took it out of his mouth to show the girl working and said "see it's raw". Then spit into the garbage. He continued cooking without washing his hands.

The staff then started a gross conversation about salmonella and the cashier started dry heaving. Another worker said "why are you making her puke". Luckily I managed to keep my appetite.

Then when my food was finally ready, I went to get my unwrapped eating utensils and noticed they were in a bin on the counter that was being used for trash. She emptied the trash and asked me if I needed anything else. I said "yes, utensils". She handed me a fresh set and then filled the bin with new unwrapped utensils without washing it out, even though it was previously filled with trash.

Food wasn't bad, but I can't make a fair judgement as the experience...
