From Alex to Justin, this place was hit by karma bad.. no longer a place worth going..place is in shambles, mold in the old Macy's lot due to water leaking in every time it rains. Then instead of promoting hard work and good behavior with guests, they support lazy attitudes where it's ok to sit in the kebab house for 3 or 4 hours and use the work phone for personal things, then even leaving the keys that unlock everything in the mall at the security desk under a newspaper, (out in the open, just under a paper anyone can grab). It's like any one can steal those and break into the mall and other stores easily because of that...if they cleaned house and actually got hard workers in there and fixed up the mall from the ground up, it would be great again, but from what I keep being shown it's going to hell in a hand basket. There are a few workers there that are really good, sando, Alec, David,, a few of the guards, I know Collin is not there any more , he got out when things started going down hill, the new guy that is there, don't follow you know who's bad work ethic, they might smile but behind your back the mall guests and store owners will eat you up. Lol. Ugh.. if you want a mall, check out Buckland or Manchester. Much nicer, we'll kept, and run by people who care about the staff and the site. Plus not a ghost town. 👻👻👻👻👻lol. Rip Enfield square.. you will be missed when they come you down soon. Well the idea of you will be missed*
Read moreRead in the paper this place is up for sale & as the present trend is, these properties're being bought & transformed into other things, thus dissolving the mall experience. I havent been in here in prob. 25 years, so i thought id take a walk-thru before its gone forever. I can remember coming here 45 years ago with my parents, prob. to see Santa Claus in center court. This time, Santa Claus was there, but there were NO kids or parents there to see him, or even shop. The mall experience here looks to be circling the drain, & prob. has been for awhile, as theres more blank spaces than stores, & the stores that're there arent of any interest to me, or seemingly others. I bet if i yelled really loud, id hear my own echo. A lot of the mall-chains've disappeared &'re replaced by "flea market"-type stores, like a no-name dollar store & a sports-memorabilia shop. Sears (Steigers), JC Penney, & Macys gone leaving the small stores to assume bulk of the rent payments, so understandable the shape its in (as well as other malls). I also remember the walkways having square gardens with surrounding benches, trees & lightposts, & a cylindrical fountain in center court, all resembling a downtown village (elaborately decorated each Christmas.), but all thats been erased over time. Heartbreaking altogether, but...
Read morereviewing separately from target… most employees are kind and excited to see literally anyone that visits, but this mall is SO DEAD. i used to go here a lot as a child and now the mall is a goner. almost all stores are closed.
this place is a little too quiet, which was nice for training my (legit) service dog, till somebody’s unsupervised pet dog got loose and started bugging my service dog. the security guard had an opportunity to ask the pet dog’s owner to leash their dog before my service dog and i ever stepped foot in here. it doesn’t matter that the loose dog was friendly, it’s that the loose dog’s safety could’ve been at risk had he gotten into something, left the building unsupervised, or encountered an unfriendly dog.
if the loose dog incident didn’t happen, i’d rate this place 3 stars, but not because it’s a mall. i’d rate it 3 stars because it’s a mall simulator for a younger service dog, or a quiet retreat to maintain your older service dog’s training. or for getting steps in, or for wheelchair races.
the loose dog incident didn’t get recorded, but i did get a video of the general vibe...
