We visited this place for Saturday breakfast, and overall, it was an exceptional experience! The breakfast spread was generous, delicious, and absolutely worth every penny.
One small thing to note — when I called ahead to make a reservation for four people, I simply asked if they were still serving breakfast and confirmed the reservation. However, when we arrived, we found that the entire breakfast for four had already been prepared and prepaid, even though I hadn’t placed any food order over the phone. This was a bit surprising, as plans can change, and if we hadn’t shown up or had to cancel, all that food would’ve gone to waste.
Additionally, we arrived about 40 minutes late, so the food had gotten cold. Thankfully, the staff kindly reheated everything for us — really appreciated that gesture!
Just a small suggestion: it would be better not to prepare food ahead of time unless the customer specifically requests it. It allows for more flexibility and ensures the best possible dining experience.
Aside from that, everything was perfect. The server was incredibly attentive and caring, checking in on us regularly and making sure we had everything we needed. Huge thanks to the chef as well — he was very kind and even stepped in to help the server when she got busy.
Amazing team, great service, and a truly memorable breakfast. We’ll...
Read moreWe decided to skip the patches of snow and join the "walking dead seniors" for our daily walking at Enfield Square Mall. We had intended another place for lunch--but noticed a new place in the mall--Kebob House across from the cinema. Since Mediterranean is our favorite, and kebob are right up there at 10 on the scale, we thought we'd give it a try.
Well, this is now our new favorite eatery in Enfield. What a serendipity! We had grilled lamb Shish, served with green salad, bulgar and white rice. Oh my goodness! I mean oh their goodness! Owner Ozzy couldn't have been more service-oriented, the food was outstanding, and even the presentation was spectacular. The lamb is grilled, no oil, but in other dishes they use only olive oil and some soybean, but are very accommodating about helping with the right choices.
So many more menu items to try. This place could put the struggling mall back on the map. PLEASE patronize Kabob House. You will be so glad you did.
And we wrapped our culinary delight with some baklava--to die for, and Turkish tea, again served with such elegant style.
What can I say more than this will be a weekly jaunt for us. So happy to have this clean, wholesome...
Read moreWe came here hoping for an authentic Turkish breakfast and were met with a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish. The restaurant was almost completely empty, which should have been the first red flag.
The atmosphere was immediately uncomfortable — it was hot, stagnant, and there was no AC or even a fan running. This led to a significant problem with flies, which were all over our table and landing directly on our food.
The breakfast itself was a collection of what seemed to be frozen, store-bought items. Nothing felt fresh or authentic, highlighted by the bizarre inclusion of veggie spring rolls and fried mozzarella sticks. It was far from the quality we expected.
When we politely brought up the lack of air circulation and the unsanitary issue with the flies, the server was dismissive and offered no help. They did not offer to remove the food that was left uneaten due to the flies. This lack of concern for customer satisfaction was the final straw.
This was a failure on every level: food, service, and basic hygiene. I cannot recommend...
