We went to the one on south Broadway & Bellview As always the food was good. However I should have stuck with my normal choice. But I really was hungry for Stroganoff but I was disappointed with it. It was good but there just wasn't enough sauce. Don't get me wrong, the sauce was good even tho I had to pick out the mushrooms (which I knew when I ordered it I would have to do). But when you're really craving something that is no big deal. Like I've mentioned there just wasn't enough of the sauce. Typically when you order anything that comes with sauce you expect there to be a certain amount to coincide with the noodles. Nope, not in this case. I had a decent amount of noodles but just not enough sauce. There was no way you could stir the sauce into the noodles or have a bite of sauce and a bite of noodles. I've made Stroganoff for 50+ years and have had it at a few restaurants (granted it's not a common item offered). That was a huge disappointment for me. On the plus side they had a new item as an appetizer that was awesome. They now offer Loaded Hash Browns with Bacon, Cheese and Green Onions served with a side of Ranch for dipping. I've had Loaded French Fries before and I'm a big fan of them. However the Tater Tots win hands down! As usual my two sides were quite good. I had selected Broccoli/Rice Casserole and the Baked Squash Casserole. Both did not disappoint me at all. Except for the minor issue that it would have been great to have had more than two bite size pieces of Broccoli. As always their Rolls and Cornbread were extremely nice and warm and super fresh and tasty. I've never been able to complain about the size of their meals regardless of which one you order. I went there for lunch with a dear friend of mine so we ordered from the lunch menu and I brought home half of mine. Of course the main reason I brought home so much is so that I can add some Sour Cream and Seasonings to the sauce so I'll have enough for my noodles. Since I left my dear husband home alone I ordered his 'meal to go' from the Senior Menu and it was also a sizable portion. I got him the Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes, Brown Gravy and Green Beans. As expected, everything was very good. Another thing, our service was excellent. Our server was right on with drinks, appetizer, meals, refills, attention to our needs, politeness,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy name is Stephen, I used to bring the family here my friends and work crew. I went over to order two meals for the couple that were working at the corner gas station they work like 60 hours and were talking about being sick and tired of gas station hot dogs so I went in 10 minutes before closing and ordered two easy meals to go and Hollywood the manager first haf a fit talking to me as if I was some street tramp asking for free booze a d when I asked to get two larger containers of the free dipping sauce rather then 4 little ones as they come to the same size he had another fit. This guy hates his job and seems like life still working for retirement and his like 70-something I told him I've been in business for over 30 years and I've never talked to a customer like that and then he started laughing I guess he thought it because his a looser everyone else is also with his customer service skills being that of a box of rocks rood, unprofessional and no class what's so ever I don't understand why a big restaurant chain would keep this angry idiot around. Needless to say, I gave the pork chops and chap stake to my dog and got the gas station employee's olive garden. I wouldn't recommend this place as long as Hollywood works there The sad part after leaving the young lady bartender 20$ for a tip she goes into the kitchen and comes back with an attitude as if I disrespected her which I haven't so Instead of the manager setting a good example he set his no class trailer park example and she went with it. This is my B.E.P...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the most disappointing experience I've had at a place I've always loved as a go to comfortable great food and wonderful atmosphere place. I met a friend there, the server was a nice young man, I ordered a side salad, fried shrimp and okra. My friend ordered a veggie plate, spinach and cream of broccoli soup. I had hardly started my salad when our meals arrived. My friend start her's first and the soup was disgusting. There was no broccoli flavor, just melted cheese and very large florets that were probably steamed and just dropped in. My dinner didn't have any cocktail sauce or lemon and the lack of presentation was very sad. At the end of our meal my friend asked if they did anything for birthdays. He said yes, a choice of sundaes. When our bill arrived my friend says she has a coupon. Waiter comes back saying that she could choose between the coupon or the sundae. I asked if there had been a change in management and he said yes. The whole experience screamed a very poor excuse of a manager. YES, they charge for the birthday sundae. For a restaurant that had always been our go to place we are both very disappointed. I will go back one more time hopefully (the manager) will have figured out that he/she needs to treat the patronage much better. If not...
