Where to start here we go! I walk in with my PlayStation five perfectly in the box I bought it in. I am very meticulous and usually keep my boxes and open them carefully just in case I resell. I'm a power seller on eBay and I just figured maybe can skip shipping and hit. "EZ Pawn" (before I rant, I posted a five star review for the EZ pawn down the road from this one. I walk in there are four redshirt employees standing around with their arms crossed they all stare at me. I have my PS5 in one hand holding it by its box handle. I'm staring them all four in the eye at different times and not once did I hear hello can we help you or anything. I looked around to see if maybe there was a closed sign on the door. Anyway, I put my PS five on the counter. Eventually, after me standing there for approximately 10 seconds After putting my PS five on the counter. I wasn't really greeted, but slowly approached by Ronda or something (maybe Roxanne)? Anyway, I have no problem with what people want to do with their lives. But this person was obviously trans. Ok, I don't have a problem with it. I'm just me. So I'm gonna call he/she "It" for now. "It" comes up and literally rips the box open the top my PS five. Now, those of us who on PS 5'svknow that Sony uses a pretty complicated process and closing their boxes. "It doesn't even look up at me. I say it's a PlayStation five. The first words I hear out of her mouth were A fire dragon "I Know!" my eyes are wide open because I cannot believe she just destroyed my box that I work so hard on keeping pristine the last five years since I purchased my PlayStation brand new when it came out. (us dorks out there will understand this) So after she says, I know she slams the box down on its side and then proceeds to rip the box apart further trying to get to the consule. at this point, I grabbed the box away from her and said let me do it please. I'm shaking because everybody (all four employees) staring at me. there's literally no one in the store and I'm wondering if I'm on hidden camera or something. My hands start checking my face in case I have something on it or something. I'm not sure what's going on. At this point, my glorious, "EZ Pawn" experience has been downgraded to an absolute nightmare. My hands are shaking, trying to get the consult out of the box at this point. She/he it? Grabs the console without saying word and rushes off to behind a column where the hdmi port and there tv is apparently. So I wait 10 minutes wondering what's going on if they're switching out my PS5 I don't know what's going on. No one told me anything. (i've been to other EZ pawn 1000 times and walked out the door with in 10 minutes.) for the life of me, I don't know what I did, but these employees stared at me like they were going to kill me the whole time I was in there. (not even joking). At this point, they have my PlayStation five I am literally trapped! kidnapped! I'm scared, I am shaking in my adrenaline is telling me just to run out the door!!! I know pawnshops have guns and these guys look like they are out for blood. So I stand in the corner waiting. "It" returns, saying my PlayStation doesn't work? I told them I owned this since the PlayStation 5 came out. Bought by me. I literally just unplugged it from my TV and put it in his box to take to you. I said maybe that your HDMI cable. "It" looks up at me. "It" has half their face perfectly covered with hair. So now I'm talking to somebody with hair going down half their face so I'm literally trying to have a conversation with one eyeball wondering what's going on. I have come to EZ to pawn my gold jewelry many times at the location on Mississippi. Same items and everything. Old lady with barely any teeth, seemed to be the manager, refused a ring because the design is similar to Cartier’s design which already doesn’t make sense because it’s still 18k gold. I had made the drive and had places to be so I took of the chain I had on me and assumed that would be no issue. They scratched my item and told me it wasn’t “passing the acid test”. In today’s climate, I was a Mexican man with a Mexico jersey on. It felt very targeted and personal that two white employees were rejecting gold that again- had been taken before at the Mississippi location. They didn’t ask if I had an account and I was the only person there- they literally just did not want to take my solid gold. I went to the location on Mississippi and they sure enough verified my gold and gave me my loan on my ring, they took my ring and told me it wasn’t even company policy for them to not take rings from Cartier due to “fake ones” the gold is still very real. Beware of racism and if either employee is reading this just know I’m following up with corporate and any person above you possible, you guys are trash and had no reason to reject.either that or train your employees on how to read an acid gold test because why is one location taking my VERY REAL gold and the other one turning it away ? Alexa is absolutely unprofessional and literally cussed at me in front of my child. All I asked simply was to please explain the processing of converting my loan to a layaway due to absorbent about of interest they charge (20%) and I don’t want to lose my item with them. It’s already an emotionally charged day for me and for her to just lose it when I’m just frustrated and on the verge of tears because she isn’t willing to work with me. I’ve always paid my loans on time and haven’t needed to ever do this. She totally could’ve handled the situation better there was zero need to cuss at me when I did nothing to her but ask a question about how to prevent losing my item. I do not recommend this place and once my item is paid for I will not ever return to any EZ Pawn they charge crazy amounts of interest so you can never get your items back. Now I have anxiety over whether my item is safe there after my interaction with Alexa. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional to cuss at a person when I never posed a threat or even...
