My kids LOVE Panda Express and they were so excited when this location opened near our home last year, but we haven’t had the best experiences here. I was placing at least one or two orders on the app every week for the past few months, but the quality, quantity, and availability of the food we ordered was very inconsistent.
There were a few occasions when our order would be accurate and ready on time, but most of the time, it was a huge disappointment. My husband has had to wait almost a 30 min after our scheduled pick up time on the app more than once. There have even been times when he has waited and waited and then they eventually come out and say they don’t have something that we ordered, and a lot of the time, they’re actually out of white rice. (It’s ridiculously priced at $4.50 for a lg side, but that’s what my son loves.)
Here’s just one example. A couple weeks ago, after my husband sat in the drive thru line for almost a 1/2 hr to pick up an order I had placed an hr earlier, they asked him to pull into a spot and they would bring it out to him. He waited there for quite awhile before the mgr finally came out to tell him they ran out of white rice. He offered to substitute the rice for chow mein, but we already had 2 lg sides of chow mein on our order. When my hubby said he could wait till they made more, he was told it would be at least an hour. . . for white rice?!?!?!
I told him to canx the order and just get one lg chow mein for our daughter and that we’d put in another order the next day. When my hubby told the mgr he wanted to canx the order, the mgr said it was okay. He said he already had our order packed and not to worry about it. We thought he was being nice and comping our meal since it had taken so long, but when I looked at our acct a couple days later, we were still charged the full amount even though we never did get our white rice. Read moreI love Panda Express but this is the most disgusting one ever. They were out of 4 different entrees so basically let me know what they DID have in the Drive-Thru. I opted for a secondary choice for my second entree. Drove up, paid, my food was already bagged up, no wait, drove to the nearest parking lot, parked to eat my lunch and it was CLEARLY not fresh food. I immediately drove back to the restaurant and drove to the drive-thru asking for a refund. She refused to give me my money back since I had tasted the food (how would I have known it wasn't fresh???) and said my food was prepared fresh when ordered, ( with no wait time in drive thru)??but offered to make fresh if I could wait 12 to 15 minutes but ALSO said I had to purchase another entree.???? This is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced in any restaurant I've ever been to. I will not be back and I encourage anyone who does eat here to not let them fool you that the food...
