Waffle House — Restaurant in Ennis

First off our original waiter was awesome, he was nice and got to us quickly. Then due to the cook not being able to handle 3 tables he had to begin cooking for her leaving another waiter to us. Our order: 2 sweet teas, chocolate milk, All-star with extra sausage, Bacon Egg & Cheese Melt, and a waffle. The Melt and All-star came out quick but without the waffles. 6 minutes went by before the cook put on the waffles, then after them being "done" she let them sit for another 5 minutes before asking which table they went to. We finally received one waffle and it was not cooked at all, the middle was still gooey. Still missing a waffle and having one not even cooked we tried getting the attention of the cook and she "didn't" hear us until my daughter started crying. After taking off the 2 waffles somehow our bill was still $29, not sure where the numbers come from because that is out usual order and it's only $23. During our hour long experience here 2 tables ended up leaving because of not being waited on. This is not the waffle house I am used to, but I have noticed when this lady is cooking it seems to be the norm and puts the other waiters out of their time and money.

Bad: 1 uncooked waffle, 1 missing waffle, All-star eggs ordered medium came out way under easy, toast burnt beyond repair.

Went to eat there tonight and the service was terrible.. Please note it's always been good before tonight... So we get there and order.. I order the two pork chops and salad... And 1st there's no salad so the waitress says oh you can swap it for eggs... So I'm like OK... OK then she goes puts the order in and comes back and says oh we're out of pork chops.... So I'm like really at that moment... She says... Oh you can swap it for a T-bone steak... So I'm like OK that's fine... Never did she mention oh it's gonna be more or anything... So we go to pay and notice the amount and I'm like so your charging full price... She's like yeah you got a steak... I'm like well you said I could swap it never did you mention that it would be full price...shes like well it's a T-bone ... That was not cool at all... Thennnn I leave and my teenage kids are there eating... They get home and tell me that they stayed there gossiping about me and my other half that we just wanted to get free food...That what did they expect a free steak... NO WE DID NOT... I was not tryna get nothing for free... But why offer the difference and not tell a customer that there will be a price difference.... And that's nothing you do either... Talk about others in front of other...

We walked in the staff were just sitting and it looked like to be friends of thiers cause they were hanging out in the corner booth with them we ordered and when we got our food it was cold for some odd reason and my ham tasted awful and my wife had to send her eggs back , 4 times till she gave up and tried to eat her plate as I was sitting near where I could see the kitchen area where they prepared the food I a out got sick to stomach that Waffle House NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN TO THE FOOD INSPECTORS IM SERIOUS IT WAS THAT BAD IT WAS COMPLETLY UN SANITARTY AND THEY DIDNT EVEN WASH THIER HANDS I SAID NOTHING TO MY WIFE TILL WE LEFT AND THE REASON BEING I KNOW DHE WOULD OF GOTTEN SICK RIGHT THIER FROM A WEEK STOMACH SHE IS ALREADY WEAK FROM CANCER AND ON THE LIVER TRASPLANT LIST SO WAFFLE HOUSE WE DONT NEED YOU TRYING TO CLEAN US WITH FOOD POISONING OR WHATEVER IT MAY BE GROWING ALL OVER THAT NASTY KITCHEN AND ALL THOSE WAFFLE .MAKERS NEEDED TO BE THROWN IN THE TRASH AND GET NEW ONES AND IN MY OPINION it needs to be shut down and inspected and get all new appliances and kitchen tools and pots pans everything .I hope that the owners take this seriously cause I'm turning the in to the health inspection on...
