Hook's BBQ — Restaurant in Enterprise

I will start by saying I am not from this area. The manager at hotel recommended this establishment for good bbq. So I was very eager. I called and placed an order for a large pork plate. I went picked up order saw they had specials which the person on the phone didn't offer. I also after she had given me my food waited for receipt and a straw which she never came back to window. When I returned to hotel and began eating the meat was tasteless. I called location back and spoke with Julia who asked me "was it tasteless with bbq sauce. Well I told her I wasn't given any and didn't know to ask for because it was my 1st time at establishment. She did apologize and tell me I could come anywhere and they would remake my order. 2 days later I called to have my order remade, given them a second chance and the lady who answered phone before I could explain she said I would need to speak with manager whose name was Kim, she started taking my order than said "She was not going to give me free food totaling over fourteen dollars because I failed to get bbq sauce, although I spent over eighteen, I tried to explain about the flavorless meat but she was being quite rude, so I am here doing review to let others know don't expect excellent customer service, please ask for bbq sauce lol, better yet go...

A nearly 30 minute ordeal to order a BBQ plate and sandwich to go. I watched 3 people come in and order after I was seated waiting for my order and all 3 walked away with their orders while I was still seated waiting for mine. Another 2 orders went out and still waiting for mine. I tried to inquire about my order and the young lady who was supposed to be there in a working capacity simply ignored my requests. After that I was on me feet and at the counter trying to catch the attention of any employee other than her. I finally did and THAT lady went and fixed my order in less than 5 minutes. Long story short I chose not to tip since there was no service to tip for other than checking me out. I can only assume the atrocious way I was treated had something to do with the lack of a tip. I rarely go in this establishment and certainly had no prior interaction with the person who so pointedly did everything she could to be UNPLEASANT. During my extended wait I did have time to look the place over and it was filthy. I won't say I'll never eat at this location again as we live in a small town with few choices. I will say it will be far down on my list not because of the food but because of their poor choices in STAFFING and...

This place was a real disappointment. Our food was not at all what others made it out to be. We ordered the Whipersnapper (a sample of all the meats) and the half of ribs. The ribs had no flavor whatsoever, the meat was coming off the bone easily but it had no taste. Then the mild sauce was so watered down it tasted like water with tomato and vinegar. It was pretty bad. The chicken was nothing special. Tasted like a basic rotisserie. The pulled pork had a very weird flavor. When you added the sauce to it, it made it worse. The baked beans are from a can, and the French fries are the crinkle cut from the freezer section. The so called amazing pound cake tasted like cardboard. I had to spit it out. Wasn’t moist, had a weird taste, just bad. When we went to refill our soda we saw that all the bbq pits weren’t even on so it showed that the meat was most likely not cooked on it, or It was cooked earlier and then reheated. Nothing tasted like a southern BBQ joint. It was more like a fast food version with the price of a high end place. It was edible but we just left really disappointed, wouldn’t...
