I'm leaving one star so that hopefully someone at the restaurant reads this review. I'm a local to the Las Vegas area. I've been to the Mermaid Restaurant several times over the last few years. I go because I enjoy the relaxing nature of the restaurant. One thing that I've come to learn over my many visits is not to rely on their service. It's terrible. It doesn't matter whether it's slow or busy. It could be packed or I could be the only one there. The service is awful. You will easily spend 20 minutes waiting for someone to come up and ask you if you want a drink or menu. I keep going back with the idea that maybe this time the service will be better. It never is. Today the server never offered to get me a refill on my drink. I had to get up and go to the bar to get a refill. Today was the worst of all my visits and why I finally decided to write a review. The mermaids (when the show is going on) are pretty cool. The aquarium itself is very nice. The food is decent if standard, and the menu fairly shallow. Just don't...
Read moreFree live entertainment with no cover charge.. how awesome is that?! I love how you can see the aquarium from the inside of the lounge, nice ambience & beautiful wall art . It's small but still enjoyable , a nice change from the crowded strip. I just went in to listen to some music after watching the mermaid show. I enjoyed the performer , thought he did a great job. Waitress was very friendly & attentive , wish I got her name. I had the best drink ever, compliments of another guest there. I told the waitress I don't drink but when I do it's usually light & very sweet. She brought me Malibu punch. It was delicious, not strong at all. Big thanks to her & bartender who made it. My first visit since being in the area & on my revisit list. Coupled with the aquarium, I'm so glad I came across this little gem during my...
Read moreMy first impression of this bar not the best. Went in on a Saturday night (22 July 2023) off the recommendation of one of the middle bars because I wanted a light meal. Went inside, the Cocktail waitresses and staff are in conversation. Finally notices my son and I and I asked for a menu and I was informed that the kitchen is closed on Saturday. The casino was packed and that explains why we were #3 & #4 patrons. I ordered a wine played a few tabletop games and left. Management, why is the kitchen closed on a Saturday night? Hungry players who are looking for a break from the casino floor would love to give these girls a good tip. A huge disappointment as I have always wanted to visit. We left and went to Dottys, better service, snack foods and 5...
