I was told by my family to not say anything at dinner but I can say it all in a review... This experience was exceedingly disappointing.
The meat was good but the sides were simply bad and for those prices, it was downright unacceptable.
The lobster mac and cheese was watery unflavored mush with overcooked lobster bits that got caught in my teeth. I couldn't believe that the sauce had no taste of cheese whatsoever and was just watery roux paste. The pasta was overcooked... at a $100 per person establishment, the pasta was almost not holding its shape.
I wanted to send it back but my family didn't want to make a fuss. DO NOT GET THIS. Boxed mac and cheese is better and box M&C is not good. I made some fresh at home the next day with only cream and cheddar because I had to clear the memory of that terrible dish from my pallet.
The spinach was sautéed full grown bag-style salad spinach and the inch or longer stems were not removed. The sauce had ok flavor but was, again, incredibly watery. It was more like whole spinach soup and not creamed spinach so serving it had the under cooked stems splatter sauce around.
The micro vegetables sounded like a good match with rich lamb but you could tell that they were for decoration and nothing else because besides the one 2-inch long carrot they were practically raw with burned whole stems and leaves. I don't understand how they could mess up cooking root vegetables the size of marbles. I love root vegetables and enjoy many 9f them raw but partly cooked with burned foliage was off-putting.
The large chopped bacon which came with the baked potato was soggy and squishy so my husband literally picked them off the potato and put them back in the deserving dish.
I know that the meat is the focus of the meal but sides charged separately should be held to the same standards as the meat since they make up half the meal and these were completely unacceptable.
The bread selection is above average and the onion cheese was delicious and it was nice that bread was offered more than once without having to ask. Our drinks were frequently refilled and our server had a great energy to him.
I guess overall I will stick with my 2 star rating because the meat was pretty good but not great, the presentation was well done, and the staff were professional yet friendly and happy.
For a Tuesday we'd rather go back to a chain like Flemings then comeback here. It was simply an extreme...
Read moreI like gambling at Silverton and when I get hungry I have had a meal at the steakhouse before and the experience was mostly good. Yesterday the experience was horrible. I took a seat at the bar and the first 5 minutes I listened to a new Hispanic server introduce himself to a server and female bartender behind the bar with the most cheesy pick-up lines imaginable. He was loudly talking over the bar counter. Problem is he had no game and the ladies cringed but he would not stop. Not the restaurants fault but not a great impression. I ordered Blue Moon which they had before and have at other bars in the casino. Bartender searched then told me she was out. Most casinos would get it from another bar but here no effort was made. I then waited for bread and butter which was served here before while you wait for your meal but this time there was non offered. At Twin Creeks prices that should be done or raise the price two bucks and appear like you care. My fillet that I had ordered butterflied, medium well arrived and it was butterflied but medium rare. Somebody explain to me why anybody would have his steak butterflied when they would want it medium rare. A fixable mistake but silly. The creamed spinach took the cake.... It was basically a pot of hot heavy cream with slices of raw garlic and two leaves of Spinach. It should be called spinached cream and would still be disgusting. How a restaurant can screw this up so badly is beyond me. A funny occurred when I asked for the check so I could leave. The waitress wanted to comp me half the meal. Who comps half the meal? Its either bad and you comp it all or its good and you charge. So I insisted on paying full price. To rectify this in the POS system the "Executive Chef" had to come out. Remember I am sitting right at the bar opposite the register and the executive chef is staring at me from 3 feet away as she fixes the ticket. She did not even have the decency to apologize for my experience, just stared at me and walked away. I don't think I will spent much of my money gambling at Silverton in the future if I can not get a...
Read moreTLDR.... Over priced. Forgot our food. Food served luke warm. Guess business casual is natty shorts and a t-shirt.
Went to Silverton for the wife's birthday. Decided to stay the night and do the tomahawk Tuesday. Looked up the restaurant and it sounded awesome. Also noticed it said business casual attire. Made reservations, we got a bit gussied up and arrived.
Seated us in a quiet booth to the side. She ordered soup. I ordered a salad for starters. My salad comes. Her soup does not. Waiting waiting and waiting somemore, waiter finally comes by briefly asks how is everything and starts to walk away. Hey dude! The soup?!?. He comes back, no stuff. At least wait for an answer before walking away. Oh my, they forgot the soup. 10 minutes later soup. It was good. So was the salad. Not great or worth the wait.
A bit longer the tomahawk comes out. Had asked for it well, waiter warned us it would take a bit longer. No issues there expected a delay for that. But when it comes out to our table it's warm at best. Great. Warm steak well done.
It was good. Not great but good. I go to the restroom. When I come back the food has been taken away, wife asked them to box it. Cool!
Oh by the way she tells me... They spilled the sauce that comes with the food when clearing the table. Luckily it didn't get on, her but all over the seat and floor. Sheesh.
Ordered the desert. Creme brulee. Was good. Not great. The outside was toasted and tasted of gas. And wasn't very hot. What is it with the not hot food?
On a positive note. The Silverton sour cocktail was bloody good. Not sure what's in it except bourbon and a red wine. That and the modelo draft was the most pleasureable experience.
The restaurant seemed very empty. As we were waiting patiently for our food, we both noticed people leaving wearing shorts T shirts tennis shoes Et Cetera. So much for a dress code.
Had thought about bringing some relatives here for the food and experience of fine dining..... naw, that's a hard pass. Not worth the price, experience or the supposed dress code.
I...
