1st time here.. We wanted to pick up 2 frozen pasties.. So, we pulled up to the drive through window and I told the lady we wanted 2 frozen beef patties.. A minute later, she's screaming across the restaurant asking what I wanted again, and I told her 2 frozen beef pasties.. So, she comes back with a bag and receipt.. Next thing I notice, the bad feels warm!! I look inside, and she gave me 2 cooked and warm pasties, when I asked for frozen.. So, she asked if I wanted money back or a 3rd frozen one.. So, I gave her the cooked ones back and she brought back a bag of 3 frozen ones!! It was nice after she screwed up the order.. Anyways, so I cooked one up when I got home.. The top and sides of the shell become hard when done cooking, so all I was able to consume was the filling and the bottom shell.. So, for $6 something a piece, I'm not sure these are worth the price!! I'll have to return to try a cooked pasty to get a better assessment before I make my final judgment.. We still have the 2 remaining pasties in the freezer, if anyone knows how to cook them without the crust becoming too...

I went in to get some pasties like about 6 to 12 of them and there was an older lady that was working there and she was NOT friendly at all she told me if I want that much that I should of called two days before and had them made specially for me and per paid for. And I said, OK that’s fine. Can I still get them or can I get at least three of them? And she said no they are all out and I said OK so I left set in the car to see what time the other Pasties shop closed cause I was heading up to camp and I wanted some for camp friend of mine came in got for Pasties and then on the way out. I talk to him if he pre-ordered them and he said no so I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. Even though I do like their pasties more than the other one, I’d rather have better customer service. Sorry about...

When traveling I always ask locals where to eat. Gram's was recommended as THE place to get pasties. I'm glad we listened because it made our first experience eating pasties a memorable one.

We arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant opened for the day. When a gentleman we assumed to be the manager saw us waiting, he invited us in. How hospitable! Made us feel right at home! The only drawback was there was no coffee available...so I had a bottle of iced tea while my husband had a Coke. The shell of my pasty was light, the filling was a breakfast combo. They also had frozen pasties with various fillings to go. There were plenty of gifts and t-shirts offered for sale.

Gram's Pasties was one of the highlights of our first visit to the Upper Pennisula. We look forward to...

We stopped at Grams yesterday and had a very interesting experience. Originally we had stopped at the other pastie place and decided against ordering there and stopped here instead. We stepped into an adorable shop to be greeted with a very warm welcome, we ordered our pasties and some frozen to go and enjoyed our pasties at the picnic tables out side. While eating an older gentleman hollered from his vehicle and asked us, "is that dog food good?" To which I replied, "yes, very!!". He preceded to yell to us that it was "BS" and that the pasties were made with dog meat... now I've never had dog meet but those were easily the best pasties I've ever had!!! Whatever your secret is keep it up!!! Lol thank you for making our first visit a great one! We even got a funny story to tell when we get home!!

I have fond memories of eating pasties in the UP of Michigan during family fishing vacations when I was a young girl. So I was happy to find this traditional pasty place in Escanaba, MI. Prices are fair, and the pasties are excellent with plenty of beef in the filling. The outer pastry was tasty and kind of soft, not crumbly or crunchy. The pasty is served with plastic utensils on a paper plate. There is ketchup or you can pay extra for the delicious beef gravy. You can order them hot (ready to eat) or frozen so you can take them home to bake later.
