Best Handcut French Fries of all time, with exception of the Boardwalk Handcut Fries back in NJ. Seriously though, I am not from NJ, I just happened to live there for 15 years. Buddy's is who got us through the Pandemic with their wonderful daily to go food. The Restaurant was closed, but the kitchen was open. Whenever we wanted a real, true restaurant fix, Buddy's was our go to, due to most other places were not open at all for to go food or had altered menu's. The Pandemic was very trying for so many & Buddy's never wavered, always smiling, serving their whole menu & happily accommodating every customer. The food was just was good to go, as it was sitting in, before the Pandemic. Now, with the Pandemic seemingly ended, Buddy's is open everyday, 7-2 & still serving their famously great food. Always delicious, always fresh, always generous portions! Plus, bonus for me was finding out today that my most favorite server is now working here! Walking in to order my Handcut Fries today & seeing her at the register, made my day, week, month & year!!! She said she's only been there a month & I hope she stays forever!!! No matter what you order, I can tell you, it's delicious, fresh...

This morning (1/5/2022) was my first visit to Buddy's, and boy oh boy, was it awesome in every way possible! Wow!

I had a friend visiting from out of state and we went to breakfast together before he had to fly back home. I had researched recommended breakfast places in Eugene and found Buddy's. I felt like it was a perfect choice. It sure turned out to be!

Super fun classic old diner atmosphere and the fun was only just beginning when we walked in.

Stephanie came right over to us after we sat down and was funny as heck from the get-go. Her energy and genuine personality were amazing beyond words! She chatted with us about The Simpsons and Springfield and was very engaged with my friend when I mentioned where he was originally from and where he lives now and what he does for a career. She wished him safe travels before we left and said that she would see him next time he was in town and that I better come back soon. Haha. She was and is a 100/10! Truly!

Thank you, Stephanie, and Buddy's for now being my go-to place for breakfast when I go out. I don't go out to breakfast often, but this will be the...

If you're looking for a quick, greasy spoon diner for breakfast with super friendly staff, fast service, and no-nonsense breakfast, then this is your joint. Sure it has that whole themed restaurant thing going for it — classic 50s diner named after Buddy Holly — but there's something about this place that elevates it from "average dive" to a softer spot in my heart (and my belly).

The server was delightful, personable, friendly, and quick. The food pretty much average breakfast food — nothing out of the ordinary or particularly extraordinary. The vibe and environment here is fun, laid back, and quite family-like. In the short time that I was there with my family, a few locals had come and gone, all on a first-name basis with the wait staff. That says something — this place has well-established roots, and it shows.

Do yourself a favor and add this to your list of places to stop for breakfast — not because it's particularly awesome or outrageously unique, but because there's something about this place that makes you feel like...

I hadn't been to Buddy's in ages, but I had the opportunity recently. It was on a Friday around 10:00 a.m., so I hoped the morning crowd would be wrapping up. When I had 5o wait for a car to leave just to park, I knew I was wrong. There wasn't a line, but there wasn't an open table either. The very nice waitress asked if we wanted to be put on the waiting list or there was room at the bar. We chose the bar, which was nice because it was easy to get a coffee refill. Coffee is good but not the best. The food, however, is. I had the German Sausage and Swiss cheese omlett with home fries, biscuit and a side of gravy, plus a pancake. Wanted to try everything! It was all so good, the best restaurant pancake I've had in ages. And their biscuit and gravy were outstanding! I could only eat half of everything and took the rest home. Had it for breakfast the next day; still delicious! I highly recommend Buddy's Diner for breakfast!

This was a random pick for breakfast on our road trip to California. I must say I'm happy we chose this place. The astatic of the old-school diner was welcoming enough for my wife and I. Then we were greeted by a very pleasant staff and was seated immediately. Things only got even better when Stephanie a.k.a "Sunshine" our server came over and welcomed us first timers to this place. She took the time to go over everything patiently and killed us with her hilarious personality 🤣 At this point, if the food wasn't great, we were already so happy with this experience, but no way... there's more! Ms. Su shine brought our food out, and man, it was to die for. Everything was delicious. I could go on and on about our experience here, but I highly recommend that if you haven't been here, take the time to try it because you, too, will be blabbing about how great it was 😁
