Horrible food and horrible ownership services to a pregnant Women and her family. Never once did the waitress/owner attend and ask how our food was. I Informed the owner kindly that my wife did not like the meal because of the extra added sauces that were dumped all over the dish, Johnny bowl with added chicken. The sauce covered all of the white rice that made the rice turn brown and it was soggy. It was not eatable. When I informed the owner that my wife did not like it and that it had too much sodium, she simply said “we can’t refund our dishes because of pregnancy and her restaurant was not at fault.” She then offered us a box as if my wife was going to take it home and eat it. She offered a new dish but was going to charge us for the new dish and not refund us for the original dish my wife did not eat. This was very upsetting to my wife so she brought the dish in and placed it in-front of the owner. The owner did not even take a look at the plate and simply said to my wife, “The restaurant is not at fault and we can’t refund due to a pregnancy.” She didn’t even offer a percentage off. I paid it simply because my wife is 8 months pregnant and wanted her out of that place because the owner had stressed her out and we do not need any complications to my wife’s pregnancy. This was our first time here and never again will we attend this restaurant due to the horrible food, service and lack of emotion towards a pregnant women. Owner was unprofessional and we left feeling disappointed in how an owner can have no emotion towards...
Read moreI am so disappointed with the service I received from Wendy. We have been longtime customers going there almost every weekend when we're in the area so she knows us well. The food is not cheap, so we do spend a lot there asI well. Even though they often got our orders wrong and a lot of the times the meat was burnt, we still went there. What really got me now to not even want to step foot in that restaurant was the recent customer service I received from Wendy. I ordered a Chicken Caesar salad as I can only eat certain foods right now. For the price I paid for the salad, I expected to get a little more chicken than comes on it. I mentioned this to Wendy and as if this is a dictatorship, she tells me that they measure their chicken to 5 oz for everyone and that's all you get. If you're not happy with that, you can order a different dish. I was just astonished at her nonchalant, blunt reply to a customer she knows has been a regular for them even during the pandemic. Instead of even saying they could add chicken even if it's an extra fee. It was basically just black or white--this is how it is or don't order it. I then told her that I will not be ordering anything else from there after such treatment to a loyal customer and she said that's fine. Obviously they don't appreciate their customers and just don't care. I told the owner I should at least receive an apology from Wendy but haven't heard back. Not a way to treat customers if they want to stay...
Read moreI went to eat at Johnny oceans grille at oak way with my husband and my son. I’m currently pregnant and was looking forward to a good meal and a peaceful experience. We waited patiently even though the food took quite a while to arrive. But when my plate finally came, it was inedible. The food was completely soaked in a salty ginger-soy liquid so much that the rice had turned brown and everything was swimming in sauce. It looked messy and unappetizing, and after one bite, I couldn’t eat it at all.
When I kindly mentioned it to the waitress (who I later found out was also the owner), I was shocked by her response. Instead of offering to replace the plate or adjust the bill, she said it wasn’t their fault I was pregnant completely dismissing the fact that the food was poorly made.
When I asked if I could order something else, she said I would be charged again and that nothing would be done about the first plate. I’ve never had a restaurant handle a complaint with so little care or professionalism.
Blaming a customer’s pregnancy for the poor quality of the food is unacceptable. A simple effort to make it right would’ve gone a long way, but instead, we left feeling disrespected...
