We’ve been loyal customers of Pho The GoodTimes, dining there around ten times. However, today’s experience was extremely disappointing.
My husband ordered the chicken wings. The first wing was great, but when he bit into a larger drumstick-style piece, it was ice cold inside. He immediately spit it out and told me it was ice cold. I checked and confirmed it was indeed cold to the touch and visibly pink inside. While pink near the bone can sometimes be normal, it can also indicate that the meat is undercooked.
We calmly brought it to the waitress’s attention and asked if the wings might have been precooked and frozen (which would at least mean they weren’t raw). She said no, they are not precooked or frozen—implying the chicken was raw. We weren’t upset, just requested a new order.
Instead of apologizing or offering to replace the wings right away, she stared at us suspiciously, as if we were lying. She examined the chicken and said, “It doesn’t look raw to me,” and insisted the wings are “triple fried,” so she didn’t understand how it could be cold. Her tone was defensive and dismissive—not professional.
Eventually, after rolling her eyes, she asked what we wanted. We said we’d like a replacement. She brought out new wings, and my husband asked to speak to the manager. That’s when she said she was the manager.
This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. Instead of acknowledging a legitimate concern about food safety, the manager treated us with suspicion and condescension. Her dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism turned a simple issue into an unpleasant confrontation. We’ve always enjoyed dining at Pho The GoodTimes and have never had a problem before, but this incident left such a negative impression that we’ve decided we won’t be returning. As we left, she continued to act as though we were the unreasonable ones, which only reinforced...

I ordered the chicken wings. The first wing I tried was tasty, but when I bit into one of the larger drumstick-style pieces, I immediately noticed it was ice cold in the center. I had to spit it out. It was cold to the touch and noticeably pink inside. I know that a bit of pink near the bone can happen, but this felt more like it hadn’t been cooked through.
I politely flagged down the waitress and asked if the wings were possibly precooked and frozen, hoping that might at least mean they weren’t raw. She told me they weren’t precooked or frozen suggesting the meat had gone out undercooked. I wasn’t angry, I just asked for a fresh order.
Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering a quick apology, she looked at us like we were trying to pull something. She inspected the piece and said, “It doesn’t look raw to me,” and went on about how the wings are “triple fried,” so it didn’t make sense to her. The way she spoke was defensive and dismissive not what I’d expect from someone in a managerial role.
After a few eye rolls, she finally asked what we wanted. I asked for a new plate of wings, which she eventually brought out. I also asked to speak to the manager, and that’s when she told me she was the manager.
The whole interaction made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. What should’ve been a simple fix turned into a tense and awkward situation. We’ve never had any issues here before, but this experience was enough to make us decide not to come back. As we left, she continued to act as if we were the ones being unreasonable, which only confirmed we’d made...
Read morePho Asian Bistro I want this restaurant to succeed. They have work to do. I was surrounded by tables that needed to be bused. Perhaps Pho should ask people to bus their own tables if they don't have the staff to quickly bus tables when people leave. Or maybe Pho just needs to make prompt busing of tables a priority. Prompt busing of tables is important !!
Fried Rice should not take 20 minutes to serve. When my wife orders an appetizer and I order the fried rice entree, both of these items should be served at the same time.
It's noisy at Pho. There are ways to diminish the sound of customers chatting but Pho doesn't seem to think that so much noise is unpleasant. I suppose one wants a bar to be noisy, but not a small restaurant. It's a small space and the tables are too close to each other (that one in the middle where people would like to be able to walk, in particular)
The one ounce portion of pork in the fried rice was absolutely bottom of the barrel. A very unfortunate choice by the management to save perhaps five or ten cents by serving a barely noticeable portion ofgristle-laced, lowest quality pork instead of a couple of ounces of diced pork loin, for example. The amount of vegetables in the fried rice was also way too small, too.
The egg rolls were left in the deep fryer too long. Nothing we ordered was very good, really. All in all, food, service and ambiance was Quite Disappointing, actually. Perhaps taking orders tableside would help to make service more accurate and...
