Made a brief stop here with our travelling party and as the others went to a nearby restaurant for dinner, we wanted to just pick up a light beverage as we were not particularly hungry. It was a nice location for Starbucks and being that it was so close to an educational campus, I'd anticipate it being full with students taking the chance to do some studying or light catch up with friends. However being that we walked in during the last hour and a half, the service was lacking and quite honestly to Starbucks' standards, that was not alright.
The young gentleman that helped us out with both our transactions (first beverage then a thermos drinkware) was life-less and monotone. I understand that it was towards the end of the day/shift that there lacked motivation to continue to provide service however employees should know that they are the face of the company and they are on the clock. He apparently also was not sent on break yet so his direct report interjected when he was ringing up my second transaction and sent him on his 30 minute break.
After we got our beverages, we took a seat by the windows and there were two other tables occupied. Around 7 pm (this location closes at 7:30 pm?), a group of 3 young ladies came in. They seemed to know the on-shift staff behind the counter and they went straight behind the counter and mentioned how one of them is working with another employee the following day and a couple of voices chimed in saying "oh I am so sorry for you" and the one girl that mentioned it was jokingly (but unprofessionally) saying that maybe she should call in (sick) to avoid having to work with that other individual.
Another one began to make her own beverage (did not quite catch whether she did proper handwashing before handling materials...) and shortly after her beverage was made, all three ladies left while the remaining two female staff (one was wearing a headset for the drive-thru service) finished up their cleaning duties.
All in all, the beverage is by recipe, it tasted decent and I have no issues with my order however in terms of rating the service? This was by far the worst that I have observe, very unprofessional to let off-duty/plain clothes individuals behind the counter and letting them make their own drinks. Not sure how many company rules was broken right there.
If there is surveillance footage in the store to review, highly suggest administrators review footage between 6:38 pm to 7:20...
Read moreSTOP putting the package of forks IN bags of egg bite -TOUCHING THE FOOD IT IS GROSE ! UNSANITARY! we literally JUST went thru a pandemic, it shut down the world, remember?
We supposedly learn stuff from that right?
Even without the pandemic, u touch money, u touch the window at the door, u touch the packages , you touch the boxes...handles, registers...
& then u put a package u just touched on top of my egg bites ...touching them 🤢
Just because a fork fits in there cuz its a long package doesn't mean you should be putting it in there!
edit :* it's December 2 2024 and I went back again, after calling (& leaving this review) & the manager telling me they were going to teach their workers not to put the fork package that unknown amounts of people have touched inside food bags!
yet again today they handed me my egg bites with a fork package laying on top
it was not taking care of, they are still doing it this at Starbucks anyway, and it's gross! Why use tongs to pick up the food when u put them in the oven , if you're just going to stick a plastic wrapped fork in the package touching the food? ... that a bunch of people have touched & sneezed on & who knows what -between the packaging facility & the Starbucks that takes them out of a box with bare hands and shove them into a container sitting by your register
The register money before you touch the package containing my fork that you're sticking on top of my egg bites
PS: corporate Starbucks claims that your policy is supposed to ask people if they want to not just stick one in the package
do better!
ps: stop treating everyone who speaks up about problems like they are some "Karen" instead of listening and being able to consider things that are valid! I wasn't rude, I was surprised that it happened again, every time I've informed someone at the store about why they shouldn't be doing that, they get defensive and act like I'm the one doing something wrong I tried to explain, the worst they feel or act toward me
We just went through a pandemic shut down the world 🤦🏻♀️ ffs Why are you touching the egg whites with tongs and then putting them in the package with thongs and then sticking a plastic Fork wrapping that you just grabbed with your dirty hands on top of my food?
I am so sick...
Read moreI am rating one star based off of the service rather than the drink I ordered. The reason why is this: I was selling a painting and I needed a location for the buyer to pick it up. This Starbucks (1895 Franklin Blvd) was in my area and I walked in and asked if I could put my painting inside while I waited for the buyer. The man at the counter said "As long as it does not bother another customer you can do it". I brought the painting in (an abstract painting) and ordered coffee while I waited. About 10 minutes later an employee walked out of the back and started loudly complaining about me. She said "I thought people were not going to be obnoxious here today, but I guess I was wrong", and "I can see this being done outside but not in here". After talking about me to other people a few feet away, she then approached me and asked me to move. I told her that I was only going to be there for 15 minutes, but I went outside anyway. The buyers arrived shortly after. This woman ruined an otherwise enjoyable experience...
