I recently invited a friend to this restaurant to enjoy their margaritas, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I didn’t feel very welcomed. The employee who greeted me seemed tired and didn’t ask for my seating preference, even though there were plenty of available tables. To make matters worse, I was seated at a table directly in the sun on a hot day. Once my friend arrived, we decided to move to a different table for a more comfortable experience. I ordered a house margarita, which turned out to be excessively sweet. When I requested a Cadillac margarita served in a regular rocks glass, I was informed that they didn’t have any small glasses available. It’s puzzling to find a restaurant that lacks proper glassware for margaritas. I also tried the tortilla soup, but it was quite disappointing. It was overly salty and contained more onions than tortillas. Overall, it seems that the staff may not have a solid understanding of authentic Latin cuisine. I hope they can improve their offerings and service in the future.

Bad, just bad. Walked in wanting to place an order for Asada Fries for takeout and ended up waiting 45 minutes for my food to be ready. I’m not a chef, but asada fries should be a relatively easy item to cook and serve. It was evident the restaurant forget to make my order when other customers who ordered before me had their food already served. As for the food, it was rather bland. The meat was well seasoned but dish relied too much on the cheese for flavor. The fries were unseasoned, bland, and seemed to be made from cheap ingredients. Nothing about this dish seems to be Mexican related. It looks as if you just melted Kraft Cheese on seasoned beef and plain fries. You can tell this place is catered towards the local tastebud, not authentic Mexican cuisine. Bad experience, would rather go to Chula’s down the street for American Mexican food where the food is well seasoned and service is excellent

I was super excited to try a newer place in town after it being settled in for a while. Start to finish service was less than what you get at fast food. We got No refills of water even after requested, no napkins, no check in, we got up and went to the bar to grab straws after no return with anything. They weren’t busy at all when we arrived there was one other group of three. after 20 minutes to place the order then another 45 minute wait for food, it was horrible.while they do a good job about meat quantity, The “birria”meat is the same shredded beef on the nachos and it has none flavor. Onions annd cilantro are used ans a base on the tray not in your taco or side. the tacos consomé is straight oil. So bad I didn’t eat 2.5 of the three tacos. The nachos say they come with jalapeños and beans and it had none. -10/10 experience won’t be back.

I recently went to Tequila Burrito Bar for lunch with a friend, and while the server and some of the wait staff were nice, the overall experience was disappointing. The first red flag was the flatware with dried food on it.

I ordered a 3-plate combo (taco, chili relleno, and chimichanga), but the food was underwhelming. The taco shells were the pre-made kind you can find at the grocery store, which was a letdown as I prefer restaurants that fry their own crispy shells. My friend got the shrimp fajitas, which were overly greasy; he could create a pool of grease on his plate, which was quite unappetizing.

When my combo plate finally arrived 30 minutes later, the chili relleno was missing. I informed the server and asked to be charged for the 2-item combo instead. He assured me it was ready and would bring it out. However, we finished our meals, and the relleno never arrived. After waiting a long time for our check, we decided to go inside to pay.

Once inside, I told a server about the missing chili relleno and asked to be charged for the 2-item combo. She mentioned that the relleno was still in the kitchen and asked if I still wanted it. Since we had already finished our meals and had to come up front to pay, I declined. The woman behind the counter then tried to figure out our order and started mentioning Margaritas, which we hadn’t ordered. I immediately requested an itemized receipt, which they did not provide. Eventually, she sorted it out, and I was charged correctly.

There are many other places in Eugene to get Mexican food that are far superior to Tequila Burrito Bar. I won't be...

Service was terrible, and menu to table was a strange journey. We ordered, then someone came out to take our order. Huh?Then the food came out, minus the tortillas, but more importantly without napkins and flatware…or my beer, for that matter. We got free chips, but they were the scraps from the bottom of the bag. Really surprising. So finally all the food was delivered. So Let’s talk that now. The shrimp on the menu looked and sounded lovely. Picture had a nice leafy salad with sliced tomatoes, a dozen shrimp all opened up as they do when cooked. The pic showed a pleasing combo all well placed on an attractive platter. What got delivered felt straight up like bait and switch. It was a small plate 8 shrimp, which looked like they came from the freezer. They had more in common with shrimp cocktail than pan seared. The leafy salad was just iceberg lettuce with some salsa on top. It’s August. Fresh tomatoes are everywhere! It tasted just OK, but nothing special. Given the work just to get it and the implements to eat with, it needed to be amazing. It was not. I would not go back. Between the food and the service, this is not the spot. When I went into pay, I had a similar experience to another reviewer. I was greeted and asked how many in my party. To be clear, the restaurant was about 1/3 full, so they...

Having 25 years BOH service in the industry, this is NOT who you want managing your business. My wife and I walk in and immediately are greeted. Nice place, everything seems as it should. We sit Down have chips, salsa and then proceeded to Order 2 $12.00 mixed drinks along with the birria tacos and super nachos with chicken. The food was outstanding, service was amazing... The one and only issue we had was the "nachos" had no nachos.. It was literally 5 chips and a pile of mush on a plate.. I simply asked the waitress to remove the item because my wife and I had literally eaten 5 bites of it..So long story short, the Young manager told me sorry that was the serving size and he was charging me.. so not only did I pay $55.00 dollars for a $53.00 ticket I give the wonderful waitress a $10.00 dollar tip as she was great and I'm sure she's over worked and under paid by this company... This was our second visit as we enjoyed this as one of our places to eat.. However after the way we were treated we won't be back.. Best of luck with your business.. But if you're going to keep the doors open you need to learn how to treat folks fairly, as we didn't mind paying the full price obviously.. It was how poorly the young man handled the...
