We had a horrible experience today. The woman came out and yelled at us to not move tables together for about group. So we had to sit at 3 separate tables. Which no big deal. But she handled it poorly.
Took a while to get menus. And then the server Chris was not great from start to finish. He asked if we’re were ready to order and we said no to food but wanted drinks. He said “we do drink orders when we do food” Never have I had a restaurant not start with drink orders. Took a while for our food to come out. But it was busy. We got our drinks, no straws or silverware until we asked. Small glasses and had to ask for refills. The food wasn’t flavorful. Frozen hamburger patties, wimpy soggy fries with zero salt and they weren’t hot. It was a late lunch so we didn’t complain about the food. But then our checks came and it was an automatic 20% tip. Which would have been fine since their menu said for parties over 5. But since we were all separated, it shouldn’t have been considered a large party. Plus the service was crap. Still no refills or a check back after a few bites of food. Had to ask for refills when they finally came back to our table after we were done eating. When called out on the tip issue, he got loud and rude and we didn’t get a choice. Every ticket got 20% added despite being parties of 4 or less. The manager Andrew offered cookies for the kids for the troubles. But that wasn’t going to solve paying 20% to a waiter who did a horrible job and then had an attitude. As a server myself, I always tip 20% or higher unless it’s absolutely crap service. And I know what it feels like to be tipped low from people who are simply cheap or don’t know how to tip. If we had paid cash, we probably wouldn’t have left more than a few dollars. But we don’t carry...
Read moreI found this place because they were listed on Bring Fido as a dog friendly place and my boyfriend and I were traveling through Arkansas with the dog. Turns out, they are dog friendly...they provide fresh water for your dog, which is nice; however, that’s about where the positives end. I think it’s ridiculous that they are still requiring masks on the outdoor patio, but I digress. Also, once we were seated and looking at the menu, we realized it was cash only (never would have eaten there if it had been publicized better), so my boyfriend had to run to the ATM down the street to get cash. My boyfriend’s pimento cheese sandwich was very sad looking and came with a bag of Lays Ruffles (yes, the kind you get in the bag lunch aisle at Walmart). I got a side salad, which was okay. The chips I got were decent, but I kid you not, the included salsa was straight out of the Pace picante jar. The menu was majorly lacking. Very few choices and menu items were not what one would expect from a business with the word “grill” in the name. Disappointed that we wasted our eureka springs lunch experience on this place, but we’ll get ‘em next...
Read moreThis has lower stars than surrounding restuarants, so my wife and I avoided initially; however, turned out to be the only open restuarant on Sunday when we needed to eat. Food was great, staff was attentive/ kind, and prices reasonable. However, it earns is lower stars with its low-brow approach to business. They charge a fee if you share a meal (we didn't, but seems petty). Furthermore, even with a large meal with drinks, I asked for BBQ sauce for my fries. I was quickly served, but without any warning... then a $1 charge appears on my bill. As I said-- low brow-- customers are the target, not the guests. I'm sure it is costing then much more business than it is gaining them income in the long run...I recommend finding another restuarant, or pedantically ask the cost of every single request before ordering or you may get a surprise from the less than scruplulous...
