With superb views and location, the Grandview Suite is a great place to stay. I would absolutely, 100% recommend it. Be aware though, that despite the frosted windows, the eastern balcony windows need window coverings as others have mentioned. The morning sun is a doozy up there. Do yourself a favor and cover them with something before bed - aluminum foil maybe. Shrug. It should stick with a squirt of water. Management, please post directions for the complicated TV. The folks who stayed before us probably didn't get to use the jets in the tub. The fuse box needed to be reset. Simply flip of the switch on the wall next to the entry door. The toilet ran constantly. It didn't bother me at all but it drove my husband insane. He turned it off after every use. That hefty water bill will certainly be passed on to guests. We alerted the desk clerk of the problem. Maintenance was not sent up. Hopefully the owner gets this message to remedy the situation. On our last night, someone (probably the cleaning crew) left the laundry room door open, the dryer buzzed well into the wee hours. At least that's what we hope caused the nuisance. Upon further investigation, we found the door open, allowing entry into the Flatiron Suite. Nice place. Aesthetically nicer than the Grandview with two rooms and a much bigger TV. The tub is smaller but it just might be more comfortable. If the owner reads this, it should be known that the balcony door on the eastern side of the Grandview has a thin split in the oak. It can only be seen in bright daylight. It is my belief that previous guests swapped out the pillows. I wish I would've thought to alert the desk. The cleaning crew does a great job but could focus a little more attention inside the cabinetry, at trash and lipstick covered...
Read moreI stayed in the Parkview Suite during the offseason, mid-week when the tourist population is at its lowest. Nice property, just not the right fit for me. I did not expect there to be so much noise from passers-by or the few small tables eating at the Balcony bar across the street. So, if you stay here just be aware that noise will be an issue that will impact your ability to sleep - especially when the trash and recycling and delivery trucks park literally right outside your room the next morning at 5am. That said - the room was beautiful and had been substantially updated since the photos on the website were taken. I loved having a room right in the middle of downtown - makes it convenient to drop off purchases, make a pit stop, etc. You might consider reserving the Grandview suite if you are interested in this location but would like a more peaceful/quiet stay - it's the only room that isn't located in the "point" of the building and I think it might be a quieter experience than you'd get in one of the other rooms. Also be aware that the check in process can be confusing - when I reserved the room I was told the access code for the door would be emailed to me on check-in day; however, that never happened and I found out after check-in time that I had to physically check in at a hotel up the street to get the codes. Not a problem, just incorrect directions and miscommunication. Again, nice property - good location - might work better for you if you want to be in the middle of the noise and action and don't care about...
Read moreWe had made several trips to Eureka Springs and often admired the Flatiron Flats. Finally got our chance to book a stay in the Penthouse - at the nose of the building and at the very top. A great perch to view the city and convenient to all the places we enjoy downtown. The extra perk is the reserved parking right downtown near the Flatiron.||The Penthouse was better than we expected. Check-in is a breeze at the New Orleans Hotel down the street. The suite is fully furnished and equipped with all linen and kitchen needs. The suite is huge and perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the balcony on both sides of the room. Our 3-night stay began on a Sunday in late November; the city was unusually quiet to us, which was fine. No loud traffic or blaring band music, the only disturbance was the wee-morning hour trash collection.||We would definitely stay at the Flatiron...
