IF YOUR DINNING DO NOT GO HERE.....Ok so I only live about 15mins from this location in eureka springs. I always saw cars and trucks parked there but come to find out that's for the bar side of this place. I wouldn't recommend this place even to a person I dislike maybe even hate. It was only 2 of us, my wife and I decided to try it out. So I got the catfish plate and my wife got a bacon cheeseburger very easy and simple foods to make and not screw it up. So about 45mins later the food comes out my catfish is sitting in a pool of oil and it's not cooked throughout so they either just turned on their deep friers or the frier is not up to the right temperature. My wife's bacon came out like jerky but that tough rawhide type. The meat they used for the burger was not ground chuck or anything from a cow. The food was unable to eat. The dining room only had 3 or 4 other tables being used and the server was missing 75% of the time so almost 45mins goes by from the time we got the food from when the server came back to the ask if we needed anything or if there was any issues he had seen our food had been barely touched so I explained to him the issues with the food he goes back to the kitchen. Comes back out and says I talked to the cook and that's how it's supposed to be. So he takes the plates throws the food in the trash and gives us a bill with all the full prices of the meals and then puts a 15% off on the food order. It should of been completely comped. Since it was a disaster. If anyone ever thinks of going there for more than just a beer please think of another place I dont want to see a person be sick from the poor quality of food and they way it's made...
Read moreBeavers and dogs don't mix! I have been to both locations of the Rowdy Beaver previously and enjoyed myself. This time, however, I was traveling with my miniature dachshund and was quick to find that we were not welcome. Now I can understand that not every establishment welcomes dogs, but when the bartender also lied to us about dog-friendly locations, I knew better. I do not know if he lied deliberatley or was just ignorant, but as a long time visitor to Eureka Springs, I know how dog friendly the city is and he told us the opposite! Anyways, we left the Beaver Den and found plenty of other bars, restaurants, and shops that not only allow dogs but welcome them and encourage them to come in or get a drink from one of the many water bowls left on the sidewalks. I know I will never patronize either location again. If you chose to do so, they do have cold beer and the usual bar food but nothing really special but their fun name. Just remember to leave your...
Read moreOur first visit to Eureka Springs and we decided to eat here. There was 4 people total in the restaurant. We walked in and we felt like we inconvenienced the waiter. So very rude! We left and won’t be back .
We were there the morning of Aug. 26th. We only saw one guy working. While we looked around to pick a seat the guy bumped into us twice without even an excuse me even though we both said excuse me to him and he didn’t even acknowledge it. My husband even apologized with 0 response at all from your employee? We sat at a table across from the bar where another couple was seated and he went into a room behind the bar for nearly 5 to 10 minutes? After quietly discussing that this guy is acting like we ruined his day by choosing your place, we decided it may be best to leave. The guy being rude and acting that way can’t be good...
