We stayed in "The Overlook" suite, which has a private covered balcony in the heart of downtown Eureka Springs. This place was wonderful!! The room was large, the bed super comfortable, the linens great, and the Jacuzzi tub was large enough for both of us! You can tell the room was recently restored to it's wonderful splendor. The room had a small fridge/freezer which was great for our weekend. TV, cable, soaps, shampoo, conditioner and nice linens were all provided as well. Multiple light arrangements were in the room which made it great for whatever the need: dimmers switches around the Jacuzzi tub lights, bright lights around the bathroom mirrors for make up, bedside table lights that can be turned off either at the lamp or at the door, and ceiling lights and fan that are controlled by a remote control. Seriously, the owners thought of everything! Rates were $180 a night for week days and weekends, $200 an night for the holiday weekend. The location of the room was wonderful, in the heart of downtown Eureka Springs. We walked everywhere down Spring street, Central street and Main street (the main roads in the downtown areas) with no problems and we are not in the best shape! That says a lot! ||||Please note that parking for this place is up Spring street a couple of blocks and in a secluded parking area. It's a bit of a walk, but once you are parked, there is very little reason to have to use your car again! There is a 15 minute loading zone just across the street that can be used when loading and unloading your things. Also note, there is a staircase that will need to be climbed with you belongings in order to get to your room. The room is totally worth the climb! There is not a microwave either. One more thing to note is that because you are downtown, it is a bit noisy until about 1 am every night and there is a streetlight just across the street. The heavy drapes are enough the keep the light out of the room and we had fun listening to the music from the Rowdy Beaver Den from the comforts of our private balcony. All of the fun of the bar in your PJs! ||||This place was great! We will certainly book this place again. The owners also own All That Glitters, the store located just below this wonderful room! There is a "sister room" on the other side of the building, instead of a private balcony it has a private garden deck...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible. If I could rate a zero, I would. We rented both rooms for the weekend. We noticed water pressure issues first thing Saturday morning. The water was barely trickling out of the faucets in both rooms. We waited a while and tried again. Water pressure seemed normal but quit halfway through my shower. We tried again that afternoon and it was only trickling again. I called the owner and she did not care. She didn’t offer to come check it herself, didn’t offer to call a plumber, and didn’t offer to discount our stay at all. She tried to blame it on freezing temperatures but the temperature had been above freezing for several days. She said she couldn’t get a plumber to come check it that late on a Saturday. She said her husband would be home soon and she would call me back. Later that evening we realized we had not heard from her and my husband sent her a text to let her know how disappointed we were in our stay, her lack of empathy and her lack of customer service. Her response was that Eureka Springs is in a historical district and basically can’t do anything about the water situation. We visit Eureka Springs often and have stayed in 4 locations on Spring Street and this is the only location I have ever had water pressure issues. We are friends with the owner of the hotel across the street and asked him about pressure issues and he had not experienced any. A hot shower with adequate water pressure is an essential part of renting a room, especially one as expensive as these were. Save yourself so hassle and discomfort and stay at either hotel on Spring Street. They would at least check into an issue and...
