Second update: Response to the business's reply. Our tickets were under my partner's name, not mine. And your comment about not receiving a complaint misses the point. I've tended myself before, and if it's a drink on your menu, you know that exact flavor profile and ratios like the back of your hand. It shouldn't hinge on waiting to hear if any customers complain or not. Appreciate the attempt to make it right, but insinuating that our tickets didn't exist, or that our negative experience was our fault for not complaining, is maybe a symptom of the problem.

Update 10/4: We came back a second time and our experience wasn't as good. The two mocktails we ordered were pretty much undrinkable because they tasted so off. Also my girlfriend's cocktail had almost no bourbon in it, and my beer was a lot foamier than the first time we came. Still a great place to hang out, but drink quality could be better.

Want to have a lovely laid back night in Eureka? Look no further than beers enjoyed at Gotahold paired with some tasty food from the twisted taco located in the beer garden out back. In addition to the wonderful variety of local and delicious beers, cider, and kombucha available on tap, (oh and the wonderful coffee that is also roasted onsite if you’re not in the mood for a beer..just walk around the corner to Just Bee!) great live music, and the beautiful shaded beer garden, this placed is owned and operated by a great couple of intelligent and community-minded people including the Master Brewer and his business partner/wife. If you arrive early for the weekend, make sure and come grab a drink on a Thursday when this pair generously dedicate all tips toward local non-profits. The organizations rotate each month and have raised thousands of dollars for the local history museum, school scholarships, public library, medicine for folks who can’t afford their prescriptions and many, many more great causes. We treated our family to the Exclusive Signature Tasting experience at Gotahold the day after our wedding, and it could not have been a better time. We were greeted with a giant smile and a congratulations from Alyssa the moment we walked through the door, and we were taken into a private space to taste six different types of beer made on property. Alyssa's knowledge was top-notch, and she had thorough answers for all our questions. We were able to speak with the owners, and learn even more about their brewing processes -- as a beer-loving family, this was a highlight of the entire weekend. My mother (who is no fan of the stuff) finished her Fine Fettle and said, "Wow! I never knew I would find a beer I actually liked!"

This is a great operation, and all of the employees care about the comfort and happiness of their customers. Their knowledge is top-shelf, and the care and work they put into their products speaks for itself. If you're in the area, even during the off season -- maybe especially then -- stop by and see them.
