Love this place! It took one visit for me to fall in love with this place and decide that it will be my go to spot to stop and have food and drink whenever I pass through or stay in Eureka Springs. I've been exploring the state for a couple years now and this place is a hidden gem, well not so hidden, but certainly not over-exposed either. I was looking for live music to practice my novice photography skills on and settled on the Gravel Bar for a Friday night! The ambiance was fantastic! The place was clearly remodeled/built and decorated with care and intention. It has an abundantly warm, inviting and cozy feel that helps provide a relaxed, but magical quality. I had the vegetarian nachos, which were delicious, and everything about the patrons, staff, and atmosphere was sociable and friendly. As someone who visited first and foremost to shoot some images of live music (Alyssa Galvan was playing), I can say it's a gorgeous and intimate venue to capture in photographs! Galvan's rich and diverse vocal range seemed to stretch and crawl over the beautiful wood and glass space that is the majestic stage area, bathed in multicolored dynamic lighting! Amazed to have such a great and unique music venue for totally memorable sets, good food, and great atmosphere!

We stopped in at The Gravel Bar in Eureka Springs while on a quick vacation, looking for a place to relax with some drinks and a late evening snack. It was a Monday night, and options were limited, but this place was perfect! They had live music going, which made for a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we even picked up some fun swag from the gift shop. The menu isn’t your typical bar food, but everything we tried was delicious and fresh. We had a great shareable plate with pita, artichokes, olives, and peppers that hit the spot. For drinks, we tried the frozen piña colada and frozen margaritas both were excellent, refreshing, and just what we needed after a long day of exploring. Overall, The Gravel Bar was a great find. If you’re in Eureka Springs and looking for good food, tasty drinks, and a laid-back vibe with live music, this is the place to go!

Great vibe, great music, cold drinks at the former Joy Motel. Love what the new owner has done with it! The huge back deck was a perfectly intimate venue for listening to live music from talented regional artists. For dinner we tried some of the flatbread pizzas - I don't remember which ones, but they were really good! The crowd seemed to be a mix of lodge guests and locals, which was a good sign we picked the right place. Very LGBTQ+ friendly and very pet friendly - the level of inclusivity and getting to pet all the sweet pups on leashes just added to the feeling of community. Will definitely return!

Honeymooning in Eureka Springs, my new Wife and I, after planning our evening at our hotel, showed up with intention of having dinner w/drinks and enjoying the live music, the waitress showed up before, we had the menu downloaded, so we ordered drinks as she promised to return shortly to take our food order, a minute later, she returned with the drinks again promising to return and take our food order, 45 minutes later our drinks were long finished and there is still no sign of our waitress returning, so I went to the bar to locate her and did and she stated that she would be out in a moment to take our order, so I returned to our table and again waited for approximately 40 more minutes, then my bride and I decided to leave and find a place to eat that would take our order. So we approached the bar and asked for our check, as I paid I informed our waitress that we were going to go find something to eat, at which time she became rude telling us that she was not a waitress but the Bar Tender, and we had other avenues in which to order food, that would have been fine if she stated so 90 minutes sooner, and we had not waisted an hour and a half of our evening. So don't expect much from this place in the way of service. Also upon reading previous negative reviews it appears that the owner of the place would rather blame the customers than address the issues with his staff. Just one more establishment that counts on tourist customers for their income and are not worried about...

Ok, so this is the second time we've been here and heard the food was great! I'm sure the food is wonderful.... Just to give you a back story, we came here in May and rated it a 4 because the food was pretty GOOD! The service was less than Jake. Skyler (spelling) is in a constant state of hurry.... Back to the present. The first thing we hear is "Are you drinking or eating" so I immediately think we are in for a wait if we are hungry. So we give them a card and get a couple of beers. Keep in mind we've done this before and waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for sandwiches and salads on a Wednesday evening the last time we were here. Back to the present... We order a couple of beers and head to the deck. After 10 minutes and hearing Skyler reiterate that she's "trying to get caught up" we order another round. As our beers empty, it's painfully apparent that those beers are not coming. We go in to tab out and pay the $10 tab for the 2 beers with no mention of the forgotten round. I leave a dollar in the tip jar because I am a loser and we head out the door.

A business cannot expect to survive on great food and poor service. Abundantly clear is the need for an additional server and some additional kitchen staff. If you're going to Make it!! Invest in some help. Look at my review history and tell me I am overly critical. Go ahead!!

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who is not local (as I am) and hungry.

Go in, sit at the bar and grab a beer. It's...

Our hosts shared that the band here was great! True to their words, it was! We loved them! We also met great people! However, the service is so poor! We grabbed an open but dirty table. The servers were more engaged with removing dishes from everywhere else, than waiting on existing customers. I went inside and asked a server to help us. She was great cleaning the table and taking our order for food and beverages. They were out items and she offered up suggestions! However, we never saw her again. I went back inside, brought our empty glasses and dishes in. The older gentleman took them. He reluctantly asked, what else that I needed. I shared, a beer and another one specialty margarita. Our server was also behind the bar, whom he had words with, giving me a disgruntled look! As I wait for our drink order, he shared that they'll bring out my margarita. I took my husband's beer out and waited. Hmmm, no one ever came. My husband's beer is now gone so I went back inside. Our server was shocked, I had yet to receive my margarita. I politely asked for that and my tab. She followed up with the older man and he dismissed her. Like, what the heck! He made my drink and I paid the tab. I expressed my dissatisfaction with him, only to find out that he's the OWNER! Just terrible! They were not busy! I will gladly take my people...
