I was kind of excited to have dinner at the Rowdy Beaver Restaurant on route 62, purely because I liked the name. So we went on a week night in June,2023. We were seated quickly. We found that there is not an over abundance of room at the tables we were seated at. It actually effected the table next to us because there wasn't enough room. Now I know I could loose a few pounds, but that was not going to help. We ordered our food and that was the last time our server was at our table. Well until she brought the check. We watched her making the rounds. Just not near us. Someone else brought out our food. I could tell that this restaurant was definitely understaffed. While we were waiting, the wife used the restroom. She said that the design is poor at best. And it reminded her of a barn, but that was part of the decor. She said she had to put her purse around her neck to sit down. And there were other design issues pertaining to those things. The stall door had multiple issues. So our food comes out. It looked good. My entree' was hot and looked good. My two sides were both Luke warm, bordering on cold. One side tasted good and I ate it even though it was basically cold. The other side and the entree' had little to no flavor. I cannot believe how much salt and pepper I put on my dinner to give it some flavor. The wife said her's was basically the same. But she could not use a lot of salt to mask the lack of flavor. It was a shame because I was so into liking this place. Neither one of us finished our dinners. Although I did finish my soft drink. The decor was decent and kind of had a log cabin type of look going on. I found it nice and enjoyed my dinning experience in that regard. They had a little gift shop neat the entrance. As well as a store and bar adjacent to the restaurant. Anyway, we paid our check and were on our way. Now I don't want to say it was bad, because it was not. We just seemed to have an issue with the flavor of our dinner when we were there. So maybe consider trying it for yourself and decide. If anything it has a good name which made me wan to be there because of it.

When in Eureka Springs you have to go to the Rowdy Beaver, make sure to get your obligatory selfie with the Rowdy Beaver logo. They have a great little gift shop with some epic merchandise. Unfortunately they didn't have my size for the shirt I liked, but they said I can order online. We had the pickle chips and loaded potato skins for apps. The pickle chips were really good, loved that they had a light breading. The stuffed potato skins were also really good, the skin was almost a little too crispy. I ordered the Beaver's Baja Burger, it was alright, nothing stood out about it. The pile of pickled jalapenos they put on the bottom made the bun all soggy. I was hoping to make some quips like: "that's one tasty beaver", "that beaver was spicy", but alas that was one mediocre beaver. The fried okra was pretty good. The baked beans tasted alright, but were cold. I also tried the sliders, I liked the crispness of it, but they were super greasy. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food. Maybe I ordered wrong. But definitely come in and check it out. The server was super friendly, and it has a great atmosphere. Don't forget your shirt.

I had there prime rib priced at $33. I received my meal, barely lukewarm. The meat was really fatty and not cooked correctly. The owner of the establishment is under the illusion that he serves the best food around and I assure you he does not. I made him take the prime rib meal off of our ticket not to mention the only thing that came with the $33 meal was a scoop of potatoes and a few vegetables that were extremely bland. Do not waste your time or money hands-down absolute worst steaks in town.
