Waffle House — Restaurant in Evans

We went on a Sunday before going to watch the new Dune sequel at noon so it was absolutely jam-packed with the after church crowd, which is to be expected of course. Not only were they super efficient at getting everyone to a table as quickly as possible, but they had someone acting as a hostess and keeping everything organized and running smoothly, even though when we first got there it was literally standing room only. The food is always awesome at this waffle but my waitress was the real star. She was one of the best waitresses I've had, no kidding. I wish I could remember her name but she was so quick but never seemed rushed or overwhelmed and had the most graceful, easy way about her. She also went out of her way for us more than once without blinking an eye, even in the midst of that packed Sunday morning crowd. It was last Sunday that we went, so the 17th of March and she was probably in her early 20s or 30s? Hard to guess because her skin was the most beautiful flawless caramel color and it made her look young, but her grace made her seem older! I only mentioned these details in hopes that maybe their manager will see this and give her a raise or something I was compelled to tip her 30 something dollars on a 20 something dollar tab she was honestly such...

We went to our local Waffle House on Washington Road in Evans, Ga across the street from Publix. Two people were working both had on masks and gloves. Very nice. A third person came in didn’t wash her hands didn’t wear a mask and made my order my husband ate his double cheeseburger with hash browns crisp and I had the bacon egg cheese And onions hash brown bowls. I got my order to go because I was scared she didn’t wash her hands nor was she wearing a mask. I think after multiple trips like this I needed to step up and say something we were the only ones in the restaurant. I will no longer go to that Waffle House again. Will try the one on Belair Road. Awesome place to bring my grandbabies for an afternoon snack/early dinner due to extremely generous portions for warmed leftovers at home later. Abigail was our waitress & was fantastically great about getting the kids & me drink refills, making multiple trips to our table as the kids repeatedly thought of additional things they needed. Food was excellent, fresh off the grill. Environment completely appropriate for young children. Service, absolutely OUTSTANDING!
