I've enjoyed several meals here in the past, but this last time was not good. While I looked at the menu, the young man serving me was pressuring and rushing me to make up my mind, even though I was the only customer in line, and there was no reason he could not wait. I should have been more assertive, but unfortunately allowed him to rush me into ordering the wrong thing. I asked if the steak was tender, and he said, "Yes!" Well, it wasn't. I struggled through eating it, and should have brought it back and asked for something else, but instead, kept trying to eat it. The pita bread (which I've enjoyed in the past) was also to tough to eat easily, and I gave up. The Mediterranean salad was tangier than usual, so much so, that I could only tolerate a little of it, even though I've had it several times in the past and enjoyed it. I tried the spinach pita pie, which would have been delicious, had it not been so filled with lemon juice that it was too sour to eat, so I just ate the crust. When I was done (threw out half my meal), the young man serving said "Thank you!" as I was leaving. I turned around, and told him, "To be perfectly honest, my meal was not very good today." I then told him that the steak was tough, the pita was too hard, and the pita pie had too much lemon juice. I did not even mention the sour salad. He answered cheerfully - without even a shred of compassion, "Well, I'm sorry to hear that! Maybe we'll do better next time." I should have asked for the manager at that point, but I didn't, because I needed to catch a bus. There probably won't be a "next...
Read moreThis place has excellent food! I ordered a chicken kebob combination plate, where the chicken is kind of spicy (just what I like). The Mediterranean salad was nice and smooth with cucumber, red onion, parsley, green pepper and a light vinegraitte. Couscous and of course hummus were there to finish it up. Would recommend! One thing though, this is not a place where you get served and there is only seating for about 20 people but that didn't bother me...
Read moreI loved this place, but now I am a little leery -- I have found shards of chicken bones in my chicken shawarma TWICE! Totally unappetizing after that happening.
The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a one time slip up, but now that it's happened twice I won't be quick to go back again. They need to change the way they prepare their chicken, or they could end up with someone choking on an...
