From the moment we walked in our waitress was rude. We came in the wrong doors and tried to get seated she pointed us where to go and said we don’t do that here just a rude tone. Once seated she took our drink orders and came out eventually for the food order we both decided on sirloin and she said we are out of sirloin. Most of the things on that part of the menu were sirloin I said well that doesn’t leave much she got rude and said well I really can’t help that and said I’ll be back and left us there to look again I told her one second I’ll have hat I want she did not wait. I said my order chicken parm and that I wanted a side order of Mac n cheese for my 9 month old baby. She stated we do not do that you have to get a whole kids meal so I looked and was ordering Mac n cheese on there only to find out it is Kraft Mac n cheese for a higher end restaurant Kraft Mac n cheese for anyone is just ridiculous and I said fruit then tried to change it to smiles and she said ugh I already sent it in. The food was dried out there was one small fallow of sauce on top of the chicken Parmesan and hardly any on the spaghetti it was dry like it had sat under a heat lamp. The steak was good but they were so concerned it was undercooked and made us check for them.. that’s great but concerning at the same time. The waitress had a horrible attitude the whole time and no one was cleaning anything there was a lemon and trash on the floor next to us that everyone walked past. The beer I got was horrible as well I wish there had been a beer menu at the table that stayed that would’ve been nice to have. I snapped a couple of pictures of how dry the spaghetti was and the gross Kraft Mac. This was over $100 for two people they didn’t even get the baby his drink that comes with his $10 meal or anything it was just sad as this was for our anniversary. Will not be going back. The only thing that was great was the steak and asparagus the flavors were...
Read moreHere's a food review based on your experience at BJ's in Evansville: A Disappointing Culinary Experience at BJ's Evansville My recent dining experience at BJ's in Evansville left much to be desired, with several dishes falling short of expectations and ultimately leading to a significant portion of the meal being discarded. The most concerning aspect was the salmon, which unfortunately possessed a distinct and unappetizing "fishy" odor. Fresh salmon, when properly handled, should never emit such a smell, which often indicates a product past its prime. This immediately raised doubts about the quality and freshness of the ingredient. Accompanying the salmon, the asparagus proved equally disappointing. The tips were visibly charred, suggesting excessive heat, while the bases were unpleasantly chewy. This combination of overcooked and undercooked elements made the vegetable largely inedible, and it ultimately found its way into the trash. The chicken breasts also failed to impress. The quality of the meat itself seemed subpar, and it carried an unusual flavor that was difficult to pinpoint but left the impression of a mass-produced, perhaps even "genetically created," product lacking in natural taste and texture. Furthermore, the Brussels sprouts, which were anticipated to be lightly sautéed to a crisp, arrived significantly overcooked and burnt. This rendered them unappetizing and far from the desired texture. On a more positive note, the salad offered a welcome respite. It was notably fresh and flavorful, complemented by a very tasty blue cheese dressing. This was the sole highlight of an otherwise poor meal. In conclusion, based on the dishes I ordered – the fishy salmon, poorly cooked asparagus, low-quality chicken, and burnt Brussels sprouts – I cannot recommend BJ's in Evansville for these specific menu items. While the salad was enjoyable, the overall lack of quality and execution in the main courses was a...
Read moreThe restaurant wasn't very busy but the hostess said it would be a 30-35 minute wait. It always frustrates me that you have to ask about wait time at BJs. Most places tell you when you check in. I had put us on the wait list via the app 30 minutes earlier and it only took 5 minutes or so to be seated. In the past, the wait list via the app didn't seem to help us get seated quicker but today it might have. The server didn't come to the table immediately but we eventually got to order drinks and an appetizer. When the server brought our drinks, he asked if we were ready to order and we said yes. For some reason, he walked away. About 10 minutes later (after passing our table several times), he came back and asked if we were ready so I guess he didn't hear us the first time. A short time later, we still hadn't received our appetizer and the server brought our salads. I said I expected our appetizer before salads and his response was something like "Hey, we're really busy". I was a little surprised. The appetizer eventually came and was excellent (Nachos with steak) and it was free because I had a coupon! The food arrived before we were able to finish the appetizer and was very good, as well. My prime rib was perfect and as were my wife's soup and salad. My the sweet potato fries were barely warm, though. My daughter had the baked ziti which looked and tasted great. My meal included a Pazookie so we ordered it and the server brought the check. I paid the check and we were still waiting on our Pazookie. One of the other servers brought it out (seemed like a long wait but probably was only 5 minutes or so). All in all, a great meal was made a little less great by odd pacing and a little snarky attitude...
