Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Evansville

First time visiting. I was there around 2pm on a Tuesday. They were not very busy. I reviewed the menu and ordered a number 1. I was given a cup and went to the drink station. It was sticky and messy to say the least. The whole counter looked like it barely survived a lunch hour attack and had not been wiped down or cleaned up at all. I went looking for a table and could not find a clean one in the place, about that time a lady came out to clean tables. So I went to the first table she cleaned, and it was still not very clean. But better than the rest. She got one more table cleaned before she started talking to a co-worker and didn't clean any more. More customers came in and she went back to the register to serve them. The food was good. It was lacking Lettuce and Tomatoe. Not sure if they are options or not but in any case it didn't come with them but was good none the less. The fries were also good. I felt the food was on par with Steak and Shake or Ritzy's but not better. I also felt it was more expensive here. I can get something simular at Steak and Shake in the same time with better sides and cleaner setting for less money. All in all I felt that the food was on par with the other and good. They had the music up very loud for such an open floor plan and then the have to yell out the order numbers to go over the music playing, so it makes for a very distracting place to eat. For the money i will go else where. For the food I would come back, but not unless it was just due to convient location or someone else was paying. Oh also salt shakers on three tables I checked were empty. I am sure that didn't happen...

My kids love this place and have always had a good experience until tonight. Placed a mobile order and then went inside a few minutes later. As usual I sat at one of the high tables and waited for my name to be called. Female cashier working the night of 12/7/21 was filling ice cream orders and so I just kept waiting. Eventually a guy from the back brought food orders up and put them on the counter. (In the past they have always called out names or order number) after waiting almost 10min I got up and went to the counter. The female cashier NEVER once acknowledged my presence. She seemed unhappy and just kept making shakes right in front of me. She could have asked my name and said she would be with me shortly…anything! After standing there another 2-3 minutes with no acknowledgement from her I went to the food side and asked about my order. They were on it immediately! He went around to the front counter found my food (which was cold now) and our shakes. He apologized several times. The girl slowly walked over while the guy was apologizing, she glanced at the stuff and never said a single word or gave a smile. I work with the public every single day at my job and if I treated someone as she did I would have been written up and probably yelled at by the customer. I can’t imagine this female cashier would appreciate it if she was treated the way she treated me. Simply say, “I’m really sorry, I will be with you in a few moments” We are all stretched thin these days but we don’t have...

My 2nd Time At Freddy's. Drive Thru This Time. Ordered What I Got The 1st Time Which Was The "Patty Melt".. Did The Combo W/FF & A Drink. Ate In There Parking Lot & Took Me A Bit But Something Wasn't Right About This Patty Melt. Done Ate 1/2 & FF Were Luke Warm, Not Hot... They Didn't Put ANY Caramelized Onions On My Patty Melt! Thats Why I Got It!! Close To Closing Time & Got In Drive Thru, 1 Car Ahead Waiting At Window Then Lights Went Out... Oh... 1-Car Behind Me Also... Yes, There Order Was Taken. Got To Window & Told Girl & She Said They Could NOT Remake It ... TheyAre CLOSED!! I Ask To Talk To A Mgr. Mgr Came, Told Him... I Ask If They Were Out Of Caramelized Onions & He Said No, We Have Them... Told Story... He Too Said Can't Remake, WeAre Closed Now... I'll Give You A Comp Card. So He Did. Thing Is... My Order Could Have Been REMADE & MADE RIGHT! Didn't Want To I Saw... I Live No Where By Any Of The Freddy's & I Looked On Your Site For Your Hrs & Made A Special Trip Out To The East Freddy's...
