My wife and I visited thinking this would be a nice little modern breakfast place with a Greek twist. We sadly mistaken. When we arrived, the restaurant was more of a country diner where the customer demographics skewed towards the elderly (all fine- just unexpected). We were promptly greeted by an employee not wearing a mask. We sat for an extended period of time waiting for our drinks and food, and never knew who our waitress was given our orders were taken by multiple people. During our extended stay, we noticed many things, such as, employees never washing hands after cleaning plates using a "communal food scrapper", other customers receiving food quickly with friendly service. Once we got our omelets (approximately 50 minutes after placing the order), the food was not stellar, but a solid omelet with some tasty jelly. The check was dropped shortly after and no one asked how our food was or even seemed to care after that point. Before leaving, one of the waitstaff said thanks for coming in and started walking away mid-sentence as insincere as it could possibly get. Both my wife and I served tables for many years to pay for college and we understand that restaurant work is an art and sometimes can be difficult, but customer service is crucial in this industry and we didn't feel like we received that during our one hour and fourty-five minute visit. Maybe this place is for regulars, or maybe we didn't fit in, but we...
Read moreWent there with my friend. Place is pretty and clean, nice people. However, the food was just aweful. We were in a Greek food mood so we ordered few things from that menu. The Hummus was not hummus, I couldn't figure out what it was though. It was served in a tiny plastic cup. Definitely poor choice of serving. There was no Tahini inside, no taste even of hummus at all. I know how to make a hummus, ate in the middle East hummus, that was not hummus what we got. The Greek fries were moist, they poured some kind of sauce/liquid on it, was weird eating wet fries. My friend said the salad wasn't fresh, and the skewers had little meat on them, dry and way over done. We did not feel the lamb taste of it. The Baklava came from the fridge, definitely not fresh. It probably came from a store somewhere, didn't have fresh flavor, and hardly any filling inside, didn't notice the existence of pistachios inside. Hot tea I ordered came room temperature. Went home disappointed my stomach didn't agree with that food. Waiting for the pain to subside. Definitely...
Read moreSO kid friendly. Took our 15 month old there for brunch. She sat in a booster seat for the first time, they served her with a sippy cup of water with a straw, which she immediately flung to the ground. I went up and asked for a rag, they came and mopped it up and were nice about it. They brought over some little toys to entertain her, the staff made sure I knew they were cleaned after each use. All the waitstaff interacted with her and were genuinely sweet.
The food was perfect. My favorite diner meal is tuna melt and it was their special today. It was one of the best I've had in a while, and the fries were my favorite kind- thinner than steak fries by half but still structured, not floppy and greasy. Had some crunch to some. My husband enjoyed his Greek omelet, and both portions were worth the price.
The atmosphere is a bit odd- not as lived in as I would assume for an established diner, but they did have some neat local art on the wall. More than anything, they were all friendly. We will...
