Kel’s Café – Hidden Gem in Historic Downtown Everett
If you’re in downtown Everett—right across from Angel of the Winds Arena—Kel’s Café is a must-stop. Whether you’re out on a date, running errands, or wrangling the kids, this spot delivers every time.
The menu rotates, but a few things never change: quality coffee, fresh baked goods, and seriously good food. When we stopped in, they had Carne Asada, pulled pork, and chicken tacos—all solid. My kids ate every bite of their chicken tacos, and that’s saying something.
The staff is incredibly friendly, and the café offers a great view of downtown from the windows. Food comes out quick, it’s fresh, and not over-seasoned—you can taste the ingredients, not just spice. I love that the food is displayed in a case, so you see what you’re getting.
Blueberry muffins are my personal favorite: just the right amount of sweetness, perfect texture, and moist on the inside. And the potato salad? Definitely homemade and packed with flavor—one of the best I’ve had.

Read moreKel’s in Everett is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and kindness that makes you feel right at home. A huge shoutout to owner Sam, who welcomed us with open arms—he and his mom are some of the most genuine, sweet people you’ll ever meet. Their hospitality alone makes this place special, but then you try the food and drinks and you’re completely won over.
The coffee is fresh and delicious, and the drinks are crafted with so much care. Their homemade baked goods are out of this world—the cinnamon roll deserves its own round of applause, and the freshly baked bread is perfection. You can really taste the love and effort that goes into everything.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet moment. Even though I don’t live in Everett, Kel’s is the kind of place I’ll happily make the trip back for. I can’t wait for my next visit—this cafe is truly...

I was dying for a cup of coffee, but didn't want to spend $12 on one at the convention. Ducked across the street to this little place and I'm super happy I did. Probably the best plain black coffee I've had outside of home. The lady said it was a medium brew and full bodied, which I've learned at most places means bitter and burned, but this was actually really good!!! Smooth, a little nutty and mellow with no acidic after taste. The staff was super nice and the service was very quick. I'll...
