Great food. Perhaps the best sushi in town, however, the last three times we have received terrible service - this time being worst which was quite embarassing because the members in our party were trying Ajimi for the first time. We are a party of 7. We are seated right away with complimentary Edamame but 40 minutes go by before we are acknowledged by a waitress and it is because I've flagged down a waitress and asked for a menu and chopsticks as my friends had to eat their salad without untensils. She gave us 1 menu and walks away. We wait a few minutes, I ended up having to get up and grab the menus. No one noticed. Still no utensils. She comes back 20 minutes later for our drink and entree orders. Advises my friend it will be 30 minutes for her Galbi. Okay. Fine. About 5 minutes go by and another waitress has come by and told us the other waitress forgot and asks us again for our drink and food order.
We frequent Ajimi quite often however their staff and their lack of hospitality and neglect for their customers is causing us to lose faith in the establishment.
An hour and 15 minutes later... We never got our food and left. Oh. And we never got...
Read moreThey are overwhelmed. Don't worry, the food is great if not above average. However, there were only two waitresses rushing about the restaurant. We didn't get chopsticks until 5-10 minutes after our food was served and never offered soy sauce. When I asked for some I was informed that the dishwasher was broken, which is understandable enough. It seemed that some were given hot towels while others, including us, were not. Like I said the food is good but they shouldn't just leave two waitresses to a busy restaurant on a weekend night. Bathrooms are clean but the the vents whistle like an old engine. Owners: never ever EVER disrespect and exploit your workers ever again. If you think it is okay for them to be stressed to the brink of forgetting items like this you disgust me. Fix your dishwasher and fix your relationship with your workers. I'd like to see YOU serve this many people on such a busy night with I'm assuming less than 13 an hour. Waitresses if you read this thank you for your service and all...
Read moreI visited this Japanese restaurant for lunch and ordered a lunch box with tempura. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bento box looked unappetizing and tasted even worse. The rice was dry and clumpy, the teriyaki chicken was overcooked and flavorless, and the salad was wilted. The tempura was especially bad – instead of being light and crispy, it was soggy and greasy, as if it had been sitting out too long or fried in old oil. The lunch dish I ordered was served in a box that looked like it hadn’t been properly washed. There were food stains and a greasy feel on the outside, which made me question their dishwashing practices and overall hygiene. It was very unappetizing. The service didn’t help either. The staff seemed rushed and inattentive, barely acknowledging our table. It took a long time to get our food, and nobody checked in to see if everything was okay. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a proper...
