I want to share my opinion, and I hope no one will take offense, but will instead try to understand the reason I decided to leave this review. I feel sympathy for the owners, but the problems that the owners are facing can be addressed. I think that their business may be headed for ruin if these issues continue. I don't want to see two elders falling into financial ruin over fixable problems. This Cold Stone location was under different management years ago, and possibly even had a different franchise owner during this period of time. During this earlier time, it is not exaggeration to say that this Cold Stone location was wildly successful. You could go there anytime and find a massive line and cheerful employees. On evenings, especially on weekends, there would actually be a line out the door. Customers would drive 30 minutes, and pass several competitors on their way, to get to this Cold Stone location. However, maybe 5-ish years ago, this location came to be under new management, and possibly, a totally new set of franchise owners. I assume the previous owner sold the rights to this Cold Stone location for a tidy sum, due to it's wild success at the time. The new owners/managers are the married couple you see there today. I'm sure that this couple invested their savings into this business, hoping to make more money than they spent. However, immediately, due to their negative personalities, they lost the workers. No one was willing to work under them, or with them. This led to increasing workloads on them. They're inside the store running it themselves at all hours of the day, every day. This means that they are not only negative, but also very tired, leading to misery, which shows in all they do. They allowed the store itself to fall into disrepair. Chairs and tables and dirty and broken for months at a time, and they chose to close their restroom for customers for months at a time, or close it permanently, even though it works and they use it themselves. No one greets you when you walk into the store anymore, and the entire vibe inside the store is one of misery. An ice cream store should be cheerful, bright, clean, and positive. They also stopped caring as much about the quality of their finished product, because they're just too tired. The business they hoped would secure their future has now become a prison for them. They seem to hate both their business, and the customers. Therefore, previously loyal customers have also stopped coming. Even though the ingredients themselves are high in quality because Cold Stone is a major corporation that ensures high quality product reaches its stores, customers won't come to purchase that product anymore because of the negative environment inside the franchise location itself. This means that the owners had to start taking doordash orders to improve sales, which are a headache and divide their small two person workforce even more, leading to longer wait times for the few customers that do still end up in the store by chance. The point I'm making is this: I feel sorry for the owners, but they are harming their own business, and are in a vicious cycle leading to financial ruin. I was just there tonight and ended up leaving without ordering anything, because the flavor I always order was looked dirty inside the case, the wait was too long even though there were few people in the store, and one of the owners was becoming frustrated with a driver due to the large number of doordash orders, which is understandable, but the customers should not be aware of that frustration. My advice as an MBA in Business is the following: step away from the day to day operations of the store. Your business should not feel like a burden, or a prison. Completely turn operations and upkeep over to a professional who is excellent with customer service & operations management. Place a sign out front which reads, "Under New Management", and do not interfere with the day to day operations. Employees & customers will both return, and your financial future will be secure. Best of luck...
Read moreThis is a really good location in bridge water falls and has a lot of potential. My first visit to this location was meh didn't really care for it. I have been to multiple locations of cold stone and have always had a pleasant experience. I don't know if this was just the employee who made my ice cream or if it's always like this but my friends and I didn't enjoy our ice cream. We bought about 6 ice creams and none of the ice creams were well mixed. If you had coldstone before you know the whole purpose is to have a some nice ice cream mixed on the stone for you. Our ice cream was literally thrown on the stone toppings added and than overlapped once and put in the cup. My peanut butter perfection literally had entire chunks of Reese's cup not even broken up and the peanut butter was just a big glob in the center. So yea not really impressed. Quality is everything in this kind of business if your busy than maintain your quality of your product by hiring more employees. Don't sacrifice quality because customers are paying $6 and upwards for a cup. If a customer respects your business enough to give your there business than I would assume that the business delivers on its...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for Cold Stone Creamery, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!! The lady that waited on us had earbuds in both ears, speaking in a different language while we were trying to order. We had to keep repeating ourselves. She put a tiny scoop of mixins in the icecream, folded it in half on the cold slate and then put it in the container. That's not how a mixin(s) is added! The scoop of icecream was so small she had to add more icecream to it and had the nerve to level it off. When I asked for a waffle bowl, she picked up a used container, DUMPED SOMETHING OUT to use for my waffle bowl. I told her no, I do not want that because it's a dirty container!!!! It took a minute for her to get a clean one with a nasty look on her face. Not to mention, some of the icecream in the case had traces of chocolate streaks. This location is an embarrassment to the company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS...
