Bag O' Crab — Restaurant in Fairfield

I went to this restaurant yesterday and my experience over all was incredible. The customer service was amazing. There were 2 women at the front that assisted me, and they offered me nothing but respect and kindness. The restaurant itself was very clean and very well kept and I saw every staff member being attentive to their surroundings. I ordered almost $300 worth of seafood and I still received my entire order within 20 minutes! And it was ALOT. My family and I absolutely loved the freshness of the seafood. The only thing that was frozen was the crawfish, which I really do appreciate that my server let me know that up front before actually putting it on my ticket order. Talk about Honesty!!!! As for the sauce.... I loved the sauce!! I got the atomic medium on everything and I loved it, and so did my family. I even got extra on the side. I'm not going to lie and say that I have not had better, but the way I see it everyone is different, and I do appreciate the flavor compositions of their sauce and I also appreciate the fact that it's not really salty like other sauces I have had!!! I was really skeptical about going to this place, because of all the negative reviews that I have seen, but I am so glad that I decided to not let the negativity of those reviews deter me from having my own experience, because all in all I had an amazing one, and I will definitely be back to support them. Good food. Friendly waitstaff. Hostess staff needs to be retrained or fired!!!! Once we had been notified of our table being ready, I overhead one hostess say she wasn't going to clean another table. She'd been cleaning tables all morning. It's someone else's turn. Hello! We're waiting for that table. We waited another fifteen minutes at the hostess station while the table we would be eventually seated, remained uncleaned. That hostess stood her ground and eventually someone else cleaned our table. "I guess she showed Bag O' Crab." All I could do was shake my head. Really young lady? We're standing right here. We can hear you!!!! I probably wouldn't have mentioned that in this comment except we had a sleepy and hungry and extremely RESTLESS AND CRANKY 2 year old. Poor customer service from the hostess almost ruined our first visit to this establishment. The waitstaff redeemed our first impression. Ciara, our server was fantastic! The food was good. It was pricey. I like Boiling Crab better but at least there's something similar so we don't have to leave the county for a similar...

We received a gift card present for this restaurant. So we decided to go today. We have tried this food in the past and is yummy. Today however we didn't stay to eat. We got in and there was a couple tables occupied. We got in, nobody even greets you, but ok. We sat down and someone came and put menus on our table and left. But didnt say a word. Full 6 minutes passed for the server to come and ask if we where ready. We did our whole order and then he told me my total. Because they expect the bill and tip to be fully covered before they even put the order in. Which I understand the bill part but the tip is kind of not okay. Since you havent received any service yet! However BEWARE they DO NOT TAKE GIFT CARDS AS A FORM OF PAYMENT.

The guy just said he was gonna double check and came back and said that their system wont take it. Its a $135 gift card that my husband got as a gift from one of his co-workers. But we cant use it. So at that point I just thank our server and asked him to cancel the order....
