I love the food here. Most of the staff is usually helpful, but the latest have been mediocre at best. One lady that has worked there for a while stands out. She wears glasses and her head looks like a big toe. She's very unfriendly and unhelpful. We purchased three burritos and meant to purchase four. Since we made a purchase, we asked if we could get the fourth and have the 2 for $16.99 price since we already spent money on the three. She scowled and said no, we had to get back in line and pay full price. We get food here on a regular basis, so there's no reason to be so rude.
Even if policy doesn't allow for the courtesy, there was no need to look so bothered by a customer. My wife is very friendly and tried to be the bigger person and apologize although I saw no need for her to be the one to do so.
A few days ago, I had a BOGO deal from Facebook. The lady acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and asked if I had a code to scan. When I told her no, that it is just a Facebook offer, she applied the discount, but looked aggravated. I'm not sure if she's just a standard employee or manager. If she's a manager, heaven help us all.
There used to be a younger (20s-ish?) man that worked there who was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. That's when I would give it five stars. I sure miss him. The key is to hire helping hands, not an...
Read moreAfter a string of poor experiences, there was a major improvement for a short period of a few months, but now this location is back to scraping the bottom. Some of the employees look barely old enough to legally work and can't stop snickering and laughing at each other long enough to take an order correctly.
They're always out of fajitas, even as early as 7pm, and they're usually undercooked when they actually have any. Suddenly starting to be out of mango habanero sauce all the time, something that was never a problem before. It's bad enough they stopped carrying the extreme habanero which is literally just a mix of two sauces they still carry. They keep getting rid of their best sauces, like the green ghost pepper sauce and extreme habanero. Several times recently the white rice, which should have cilantro and lime juice, was actually just plain white rice. The meat is usually dry and the employees don't scoop it from the bottom to get the juices/moisture like they should be.
The only reason we even come here over chipotle is the sauces, because everything else is so sub-par, so as those sauces continue to fade so will our interest.
Also, prepare to show up and randomly be greeted by an "online only sign" on the door, nixing any plans you had...
Read moreThis is what you receive when u order from this location through a third-party carrier. I received 3 tacos - which all looked like this - plus no sour cream or sweet habanero sauce was put on them and both items are listed on my order and receipt. And although u can't see the rice and black beans, there is approximately 2 teaspoons of rice and 8 black beans on each taco. I know this restaurant trains their staff to portion all of their servings, but this is no where near the amount of rice, beans, Pico, or corn that they are supposed to serve, and like I mentioned previously, I also requested Sour Cream and Sweet Habanero sauce be included on my tacos and neither of these toppings were put on any of the tacos at all. Obviously, I'm very dissatisfied with my experience..
Edit - after posting the above, I read through some other reviews. Why does the owner only respond to the rare 5 star reviews and not to the numerous 1 star reviews with complaints? If there was only a few 1 star reviews, I could understand, but seeing as there are so many, one would think the franchise owner would WANT to address the issues rather than ignoring them. I also notified corporate with my complaint - hopefully they will...
