There’s a reason Taco Bell corporate doesn’t put their number on the receipts anymore and it’s horribly managed stores like this. Last week I went in on Monday for lunch. It was around 130pm. I ordered two seven layers with no dairy and a regular bean burrito with no cheese. While he was waiting for my order I heard someone on the line say “that order doesn’t have sour cream” and the person on the line shrugged and put it in the bag. Turns out it was my order. The funny part is that the sour cream wasn’t on the seven layers that typically come with it, that I would at least understand. No, this lady got creative and added it to the bean burrito, where that isn’t even an option unless you customize, so I have to assume they did it on purpose, because I can’t imagine a human adult making that mistake, being told by a coworker it’s wrong, and throwing it in the bag anyway. And speaking of bags, we pay tax to eat in, give us a tray. Do your job?
That’s not even the best part. Silly me, because I was with others that ended up wanting to go there, I went back the next day! I know, I must have a humiliation kink. I never complained about the mistake or lack of integrity that had occurred the day before, but luckily this Taco Bell always has a way to ruin your lunch…
So if you walk into this store they will not acknowledge you. You have to use the kiosk. It’s corporates move and a changing world, look I get it. Not the workers fault. However, when the kiosks don’t work? You might have to work, which is foreign to most of the people at this store. On this day, Tuesday the 30th of September, the kiosks were in fact not working. It told me my payment didn’t go through and to see a cashier to pay. In doing that, two other customers had issues and had to get help. When the tech doesn’t work, take the order… the manager, if you can call it that, was hateful and rude. They didn’t say the words I’m sorry once to anyone that had an issue, which was every single customer in the lobby for the half hour I was there. When your leadership fails at customer service 101, it’s no wonder the burrito artists back there can’t figure out how to put beans in a tortilla. After my mediocre lunch with a crappy experience due to hateful management and mediocre customer service, I realized that my initial payment HAD gone through, and I was charged twice for the privilege of eating stale rice and getting barked at by a bad manager. Not great.
After the payment was taken twice I called the store several times. No one answers the phone. Not once in a week did a human being answer the phone at a restaurant. Incredible, but consistent.
I lodged a complaint online, and it was acknowledged, but never answered despite providing the details.
You can keep the 8 bucks and use it train a new manager. In the meantime I want to thank you for breaking my of my Taco Bell habit. As a vegetarian it’s a great option on the road or in a pinch but it’s not with the sadness I have for the future of humanity. I know you don’t care, corporate doesn’t care, I get it, society is kinda crumbling. That being said, why not take a little pride in your job? A simple “good afternoon “ or “I’m sorry” goes a long way, and if you can’t figure that out or how to put three things in a tortilla and roll it, I feel terrible for you.
I’d say do better, but from kiosk to corporate you’ve proven you’re incapable of, so if I ever want a corporate burrito of disappointment, I guess I’ll be getting it at chipotle...
Read moreThe Manager here should be fired. I tried to order a simple crave box at 6 pm using the app. When I got to the drive through speaker I realized I had accidentally selected pick up inside. I told them at the speaker that I had ordered in store pick up by mistake but that the order was already paid for with my credit card. They said that I had to come inside as they were on a timer. I explained that there were three cars in front of me so I was basically locked into the drivethru and since it was already paid for could they just hand it out to me. A man got on the speaker and said I had to come in. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I asked for his first name and he said he didn't have to tell me anything. So I waited until the last car in front of me was moving then heard a mans voice thru my window saying you have to move up and come inside, then he told me he wasn't going to give me any food. I walked inside and calmly but firmly said I'm here for my food. He said " I'm not giving you any, I said yes you will or you can give me my money back. He said I'm not going to give you anything, so I called the police for a theft report. They came and he said she has to get a refund on the app so I insisted they give me my receipt or a cancelled cc transaction receipt. He gave me the receipt as I did not want them to give me food as I felt he could not be trusted to give me fresh, untampered with food. In the end I got my money back through corpoate. This guys gotta go! Short, middle aged, long brown hair, facial hair, glasses and a bad attitude. Plain rude and tried to steal my money. Don't go here. There's one in either direction on route 4 not...
Read moreUpdate 1/24. I have to give credit where credit is due. Over the past 6-8 months this location has improved immensely. My wife and kid like to customize literally everything they order and I always fear that it'll end up wrong. As of late this location has been on top of it. Service has been great, it's been prompt, everything has improved so much. I absolutely don't mind stopping by here anymore. Previous rating was 2 stars, I'm upping it to 4. Not giving a 5 due to the beef being overly soggy from time to time. I'd say about 50% of the time to be honest. Overall I've been really happy as of late. Thanks for everything.
Nationally, the company introduces all kinds of options every month. Sometimes they look tasty as all get out. Locally, I've attempted to try some of these items. I never get them. I never even get anything remotely close to what the item looks like or as described. This month they have some double steak shindig, I just got beef and rice wrapped in cheese and pieces of a tortilla. It was tight.
I honestly only keep coming here because my wife enjoys it. She sticks to the basics. Id be better off doing to same as well I supoose.
I've visited this establishment multiple times since I've lived in Fairfield. I've always had to wait for a crazy amount of time. My order is seldom right. I've had to go back to the store after getting home to have an order corrected. The only reason I continue to go is because my wife adores taco bell. Happy wife. Happy life. Hopefully one day something changes...
