Had dinner this Saturday evening with family, 3 couples with a 5:30 PM reservation. I had not dined at the Riccardi’s Fairhaven location in a very long time. The evening started off nicely, with a very attentive waitress who had the perfect personality for her job. We placed our orders and everyone at the table seemed content with the quality and quantity of their perspective orders when received. Personally, I had the Shrimp Scampi dinner, which I found to be excellent. Good people, good food, good wine. What could possibly go wrong? A change of personnel maybe? Seemed like about an hour passed, we were all reminiscing, and suddenly our great waitress was replaced by some hyper-active young woman with zero personality. She zoned right in on getting us out of there. No dessert request, no coffee request, no chill time to finish your drinks 3 seconds after finishing your meal, just here is your check. Then the stare down began. Never felt so uncomfortable and rushed while dining out in my life. It was difficult to offer a standard tip, which we did, since our first waitress was so good at her job. Seriously disappointed. This woman managed to ruin what could have been a great dinner. Just feel that Mike Riccardi should be aware of this. I’m sure he would not want his business run in this manner. Next Riccardi’s outing will most likely be in...
Read moreThe waitress we had was so sweet and nice and she was very quick to ask as if we were enjoying everything if we needed anything to she was right on it so I gave her a really good tip. The atmosphere feels very relaxed and calm with all the wide open windows and like the olive branches (fake but still)going through the divider for the booths on different sides near our faces in the booth so we couldn't really see the people next to us so it was really packed but we had our own little spot... Now the food I got me and my girl got the Sicilian Feast for 2, we got baked ziti with first started with garlic bread. Then a HUGE antipasto... Then the 2 Italian sausages and 2 meatballs... At that time we got to the baked ziti my girlfriend was full and I was just kind of full so I had like a little bit of the baked ziti and we took a to go box. I wanted to spoil my girlfriend so I got her some cheesecake and me some cannolis after that and we had beer and she had some house wine and I the beer, also were excellent. Long story short even though it wasn't short, if you never tried this place then try it because you won't...
Read moreWent for dinner with friend. I ordered eggplant parm with soup and pasta on the side. My friend order fish fillet with capers and lemon and pasta with oil and garlic sauce. The soup is excellent. The eggplant was not up to par. Not the worst I have had at other restaurants but not much better. I am Italian so it is hard to please me since I know and make good italian food. My friend said the fish with capers was good,. I should have ordered that because I have had that prior and it is good. The pasta with oil and garlic as very bland . Oil did not taste like olive oil which is poor. And if it was olive oil and had to be a blend. Pasta was lacking salt . So it I obvious that they do not salt the water prior to cooking the pasta and lacking enough garlic and parsley. They also set ve spumoni gelato which no other Italian restaurants in the area serve to my knowledge. The soup was the best part of the meal for me. If I go back there again, I will order the soup for sure...
